With Paypal 2nd attempt at sneaking their misinformation clause into its most
recent TOS agreement, I'm wondering if alternate forms of payment are being
considered for "Onsite Payment".

I would love to switch to another platform, however, at this point Paypal is
a must, to effectively buy or sell on BL.

Stripe - and I think that's it and that's all.
No problem with Stripe for years here.
Neither PayPal.

Thank you. I'll have to look into setting up a stripe account. I didn't
even know this was an option!

We actually don't know if it's an option with BL because we haven't
heard from an admin about anything. And how does Stripe work? Are credit card
charge backs a regular thing with buyers?? Can a seller easily be scammed by
a buyer using this?

Bricklink needs to add more payment options as other platforms allow for many
other payment methods including accepting Bitcoin for payment! I accept Crypto
but I can't sell to USA buyers unless I use PayPal on Bricklink but I don't
want to use PP for many reasons and now with this new scam PP is doing, it makes
everyone want to leave PayPal!!

Yes, and in fact stripe can be worse than paypal in some cases. They have similar
quite high dispute charges and some sellers have had their accounts frozen until
they can prove they have LEGO Copyright Authorisation to sell LEGO online, and
so on.

Cryptocurrency is hardly a good option for a buyer when it comes to a completely
unknown seller. There is no protection at all if the seller decides to keep the
money and not send anything.

And of course, tax has to be collected and paid. BL does not want sellers running
up large sales tax or VAT bils that BL is liable for if the seller decides not
to pay them.

it makes everyone want to leave PayPal!!

It doesn't. Maybe only if you wear a tin foil hat.

Stripe... BLAH!

I had an account for about a year, probably 500+ transactions.. ZERO chargebacks/disputes.

Out of nowhere my account was closed , and the email stated they would not be
providing a reason other than I was classified as high risk. Tried to work with
the resolution team and never got a response. My funds are still being held for
(120 days).

Just sharing my experience with stripe.
