I do not sell often on here, though lately with a couple of sales I've noticed
that Paypal fees have become rather very high. Anyone can explain that? Is there
a 'cheaper' alternative?

Paypal always will increase their fees as much as they can. stripe is the only
other option you can use as its the only other onsite payment method (since bl
needs to collect tax)

And Stripe has its own issues - while the base fee is lower, the chance of fraud
is higher, and buying Stripe's anti-fraud insurance raises their fees on
par with those of PayPal.

Thank You. Does Stripe even make senses for occasional buy/sell? I'm not
running a business, just occasional transactions.

I tried to setup a Stripe account and it's asking for more questions than
I care to answer.

Last time I tried to set it up I got as far as it asking for my EIN. I don't
have an EIN (sole proprietor).

Strange to then give your opinion on something you've never used.

Stipe is basically the same as Paypal, but does not offer a way to hold your
money or shipping options. I get payouts directly into an online back I setup
for business use (Ally) similarly to the frequency of eBay these days. Stipe
setup requires a tiny bit more work, you need to link to Bricklink privacy policy,
terms, and your store.

For some stats, I signed up in 2018 and have had $20k+ in gross sales with $0
in chargebacks or fraud. People without issues rarely report how things are
going.

Also if you pay your fees by card, you use stripe, kind of says it all doesn't
it?

Not at all - it's normal to take into account what other people have said
about the thing. And I did find Stripe's setup to be extremely annoying.

Maybe you can give an example of what you mean by high. Are you confusing their
fees with sales tax?

Maybe you included tax as part of PayPal fee?

It listed as partner commission apart from PayPal fee.
