I had an order (I refunded it and cancelled) since Bricklink allowed a minor
to register. Now I am out the PayPal fee, fortunately it wasn't a high priced
item.

I want to let it go, but the principle of it just irks me, PayPal also allowed
this minor to register and they get to profit from it.

Can someone please talk me down

How about some humor to help talk you down:

Doesn't actually solve anything, but it does take the edge off

Thanks Cory, somehow I missed this earlier in the day. I'm feeling better
now. Just filled four orders and now going to do some parting out of sets on
a gloomy, overcast PNW day.

That is what bricklink calls it in the email I got "Termination notice" - Found
it amusing myself, and thought it was a bit of over kill. Pun intended.

If it’s the buyers fault for an order being canceled then I would recommend not
refunding the payment proccessing fee as the seller shouldn’t have to loose money
for a buyers mistake

I agree and I would have if it were not a child. I actually considered doing
just that, but then I remember I treat my customers (young and old) the way I
would want to be treated. Plus I think that would have just brought more hassle
in the long run. I have already spent too much time dwelling on this, thus the
request to help bring me down off the ledge, so-to-speak.

Did you also report to PayPal, as they should block the account until an adult
confirms they have changed the password.

According to this young lady, it is her PayPal with permission/support from her
parents. I looked on their help site and it seems they can indeed have a PayPal
account with parental approval. Oh well, it is what it is.

I'm confused, did she not pay you or are you stuck on the principle?

Happy BrickLink cannot check you're a minor or not when you register - with
what, a camera?
Because maybe I would never been here

I mean, I'm still a kid, but for a long time.

I also mean, I don't understand why you're complaining. You lost 10 bucks?
You're a seller. Implement the costs in your prices, and then you can be
happy

The same way pron sites keep kids away.

I'm an old kid too! Now get off my lawn.

Not even $10, not even $2, that is why I need to stop perseverating on this.
So, no need to build it into my cost - it cost me more time than anything.

my dad is almost 70 (somewhere between 65-70 can't remember) and you can
see how time takes its toll on people (especially bus drivers since they have
one of the most stressful jobs that isn't a life a death type job)

to register. Now I am out the PayPal fee, fortunately it wasn't a high priced
item.

I want to let it go, but the principle of it just irks me, PayPal also allowed
this minor to register and they get to profit from it.

Can someone please talk me down

Hey, if you were working down in the mines all day, you’d want to buy some LEGO
too…

Don’t discriminate these hard working men

Working young women.

Send BL a Bill.

That would probably be as successful as getting the helpless desk to respond
promptly.

Did BL force you to cancel?

No, if they had I would be seeking compensation from them.

There were other problems with the order and after the user was terminated they
asked for their money back or to ship the item. Since the address they wanted
me to ship to was different than Bricklink or PayPal, I didn't need the hassle
anymore for a sale that was going to be less than $5 profit.

Ah that makes sense.

It was just a minor mistake by Bricklink.
