| Hi there, I am really frustrated right now, I was working adding stuff on my
bricklink, I got an order, and I had the amazing idea of changing my settings
and then the tab of charge tax or collect tax disappeared completely, I have
been searching for the whole day to be able to charge the taxes, but it doesn't
go back!!!
Is there a way to reset the orders menu to default or can someone do it? Thanks

| I can’t say I’ve ever seen a specific box for user collected tax. I’ve always
used additional charges 1.
If it was an option to change you would be able to find it here

As you just started selling here, you don't need to collect GST/HST or QST
until you have sales of more than $30,000 per quarter (unless you have sales
elsewhere putting you over the limit).

You may register for a GST/HST account, but why put yourself through that misery.
Same goes for QST in Quebec.
Shortly, BrickLink will start to collect taxes for you.
You still have to declare sales as income on your tax return though.

| It only exists in the Quotes menu and not in the actual orders so you can ignore
that field. It was used for the US implementation of sales tax that Canadian
stores never had access to. You need to use the Additional charge #1 or 2 to
add taxes. Also ensure that you have edited the template to include your GST/HST
# as legally required by CRA (it's required for amounts over $100, but businesses
usually simply always include it on all receipts, not to mention if another store
buys from you, they need the # for their tax purposes). I overwrote the "Additional
charge 1" in my invoice templates to be the GST/HST # so I don't have to
manually insert it each time.

I really appreciate the help!! I honestly think I am going crazy because from
my memory before yesterday i had recall having a field (Charge Tax) so you could
add the tax amount and charge the customer. Since the past 24hrs that field doesn't
exist anymore, not only that, i have a tab saying (sum of hidden field) but no
field are hidden from my knowledge. I tried everything and activated everything
to see if that was the field hidden. NOTHING.... Not only that I used to be
able to see my feedback and the buyer's feedback in the same place. meaning
it used to show post twice but when the buyer gave feedback it was noticeable.
Not anymoreeee...
Is there a way to go back to how it was? Thank you (Yes, I sell elsewhere too)

I didn't know it was going to show so blurry.
I hope it's a little better now. Size is huge that's why it makes it
blurry.

183.50 NOT 183.23$ ???? WHY IS ADDITION ACTING WEIRD?
WHAT is Sum of Hidden?? There is nothing hidden!!! How can I remove this?
(I have tried EDGE, Chrome, Safari, all setting nothing seem to work, Who? can
fix this???)

| might be since there are so many options enabled there isn't room for all
of them so it collapses some and marks them as hidden. for me the sum of hidden
is the order value since I don't have theat box enabled

I activated everything on purpose to show you guys there is nothing hidden, activated
or not the charge tax is not there and the sum of hidden is there.
I don't use it with all that obviously...

The forum automatically resizes images to 640 pixels when they are wider.
(AFAIK, height is not limited.)
Either put your images on another site and put links here or resize them before
uploading them, so that you can see how they are without having to post (note
that you can also preview your messages, images included, before posting them
 ).
You could also cut/crop them… but beware the forum also sometimes reorders the
images.

I think from what we're seeing it'll be impossible for most of us on
the forum to tell what's going on. You'll need to open a ticket with
BrickLink help desk. It sounds like (based on what you explained) you temporarily
had access to a legacy tax column that isn't used anymore, and then for some
reason, your interface updated (so the orders you had leveraged for the tax are
now in a "hidden" column that you won't be able to access).
The interface you're now seeing is what the rest of us see and use. Until
BrickLink turns on the automatic tax collection in Canada later on, the Additional
Charge 1/2 columns are how we collect tax (and as mentioned, I overwrite the
name "Additional Charge 1" in the template with my GST # so that it's adhere's
to the CRA requirements of it showing on a "receipt" for the buyer. BrickLink
doesn't have a place for us to input our own GST #s like the European sellers
had for VAT before).

| I honestly think you have the best answer! It's very frustrating since it
goes crazy and makes up totals out of nowhere lol. I honestly think I have no
other choice to open a ticket. I tough I was going crazy... It was perfect until

| I knew you weren't crazy because I knew of that mystical column and had begged
BrickLink months (years?) ago to allow us to use it! It still shows on the
quotes page too.
