as "new".

There is no evidence that these were created by LEGO. The LDC engravers are quite
high quality and reproducable, as they are essentially small CNC devices. They
are not hand engraved, at least the ones I have seen. Any CNC can make these
in a reproducable way without flaws. But also the strange font and the use of
V.I.P instead of VIP does not look at all like they are official LEGO.

That is worse than the ones I've seen.
Interesting that the 0 both have a mark at an angle of about 1 o'clock. I
guess this is where the program thinks that the 0 starts and ends.
They also look much nicer when rubbed with a little bit of wax or a crayon to
fill the groove with a complimentary colour.

I got it. I have a part where I placed tiles for country flags. And there is
a part where it hasn't been done. What state to condition? There are two

Include tiles with the keychain - do not put them on the brick. Pack each item
in its own bag to protect them from scratches. So I guess all parts could be
listed as NEW. You only have one that is USED - the one you used to make a picture
of it (or more if you used more).

I don't think they were made by LEGO. LEGO don't use dots in VIP when
they use letters (as opposed to using the stylized minifigure for the I). They
use VIP not V.I.P. or V.I.P on things like the recent collectable coins.

The 'official' Chrome Silver VIP keychain is more like a mini-baseplate
with the VIP engraving on the bottom.

It is only known that there were about 100 of them.
I don't think one person would make so many identically labeled keychains
at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center and pay for it.
At the same time, it seems to me that the engraving here is of very high quality,
unlike those that are made in LDC.
I have seen such keychains for sale on eBay several times from sellers from other
countries. Different people cannot make the same identical individual engraving.
Based on this, I most likely assume that they were not produced individually
at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center, but were issued under some conditions by the
LEGO company.

I understand why you want them to be the real thing but it is the wrong reason.

Without knowing the history, I don't know who made them. LEGO made stranger
items than these, and a local modification (by LEGO for some event or promotion)
of a common keychain is always possible.

I finally figured out what was bugging me about this. What is one thing that

should not get their own catalog entry, but a custom part made by an individual
and should be listed as a custom lot. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Agreed but I don’t think it can even be listed since someone in a different message
linked the tos where custom engraved items cannot be listed

+1 I still don't think they are real official products. nothing is really
adding up, How come no one else has ever seen them if they were available on
lego VIP for me at least even if something is sold out on lego VIP it shows it's
sold out for ages before it finally gets removed. Wouldnt there be any official
images or reviews of the item?

from someone else and didn't do it themselves and was merely uninformed but

added to the Catalog.
Having it in the catalog makes it more discoverable and could ultimately increase
the amount you get for each one based on demand.
I'm sure based on events in your country it could be an opportunity for people
to show you their support.

that was released in 2020?

No. It's plate 2x4, not brick 2x4.
And it was issued for the points of the LEGO VIP members, not by code, as in

Customer Services are not known for their accuracy or knowledge. I find it incredible
for such a modern item that nobody else has ever seen one, that it wasn't
already added to the database here, that no other AFOL website seems to have
any record of the offer. If it was available as a VIP redemption then I would
imagine that somebody else would have some knowledge of it. There are so many
AFOL news type sites these days, but no mention of this gift available to VIP
members.
A far more plausible answer is that in the minute they had to reply, the CS rep
confused it with the widely known metal key ring that was available through a
VIP redemption for 900 points in 2020.
