So, I'm trying to sort out and complete Lego sets and I look at my quinjet
and it's a mix of light gray and light bluish gray. It was not mine originally
but does this happen with sets where the two colors are mixed. There is also
part 41749 on the quinjet that's light gray where the 41750 is definitely
bluish and this isn't sun damage. I flipped to the undersides and compared
out in the sun. Anyone have a clue?

It shouldn’t be the case with the Quinjet.
The change from light gray to light bluish gray was about 10 years earlier than
the 2012 Quinjet.
So it could be discoloration or a mix up by the former owner.

is from 2012, that’s 8-9 years after the Great Colour Change (2003-2004).  No
way it came with Light Gray parts.

The earliest set that had

2 years after the GCC.  Very improbable that it had any Light Gray parts, especially
not new parts.

So there’s no way it came as is and no way the parts were swapped.

I’d say your LG is LBG.  Maybe yellowed by time or tobacco….

Check for small semicircle mold markings on the underside of your plates and
bricks. I believe they started appearing around 2012. Light Gray parts will never
have these mold markings.

The light bluish gray, bright pink and dark purple all came out the same year. I don't know. I'm not an expert but I've got piles of sun damaged parts I'm going to peroxide, but the color is never changed underneath. This is such an even yellow undertone, I may just have to replace the part so the set looks like it belongs together.

I would avoid using peroxide, it might make parts look better temporarily but
they'll yellow again.
