Hello. I contacted the helpdesk last week but have not heard back. A newer buyer
placed an order and chose Paypal Onsite. I invoiced him. He emailed back (last
week), sent the money order today. I can't make any changes to the order
because everything is blocked (grayed out). I emailed the helpdesk asking to
see how to fix this and update the order so I can mark it as paid and ship it
out. I also need to get the sales tax to bricklink and I'm not sure how that
works.

Can anyone help? The buyer has feedback so I'm not sure how other sellers
are correcting this issue or if they are just leaving the order open and shipping
it out? But, then I would have an open pending order until it dropped off in
6 months?

This is because of Sales Taxes, BL *has* to collect them, you shouldn't provide
an off site payment method.

I'm not sure there's a solution and that you can "send tax amount to
BrickLink"...

IOW: refund the buyer and ask them to pay through PayPal Onsite (buttons on the
invoice, in the orders placed list), and eat the fees.

AFAIK and IMHO

It’s the marketplace that has to collect the taxes and it’s the buyer that has
to pay them.  I think that, legally, the seller isn’t allowed to be involved
(collect the tax from the buyer and transfer it to BL).

Send the money order back and ask the buyer to pay via PayPal onsite. You can't
get the sales tax to BL otherwise.

Alternately you might be able to credit the buyer for the amount of the money
order and re-send the invoice. But it would be wrong to keep the sales tax amount,
if the buyer paid that, since you have no way of sending it to BL or remitting
it to the buyer's state.
