| It's not frequent but I see adults buying Duplo sets for themselves. I understand
that Duplo bricks are large and compatible with ordinary LEGO bricks so they
can fill the insides of some MOCs, but aside from that, I can't understand
is why some would be attracted to Duplo.
And I know that many things when they are long out of production can shoot up
in value but not everything. Duplo sets can collect hefty value; Primo sets don't
IICR. I own a copy of Tigger's Treehouse in box that my sister found at a
thrift store years ago for a few dollars and the thing's worth over a hundred
now, the Duplo figs separately can go for fifty. Why though? Those Duplo figs
aren't compatible with ordinary bricks any more than Primo.

I thought porno graphic topics were against forum rules and here you are, ruler
of the forums, with the power to banish any who dare post forum replies in all
caps and now you bring this trash talk into the sacred halls of the forum? SHOCKING!!
Jim.
PS. Did you hear the one about a priest, a politician and a Duplo fig...
Oh great, now I'll probably get banned for talking religion, politics and
for being a Lego hater.

| For me at least I think the Primo bricks are nice so I would only get a Primo
set for the massive bricks.
Apart from that not really.

One could ask the same thing of ordinary lego. Lego was designed primarily as
a child's toy and the LEGO Group still caters primarily to children. Only
recently has TLG started to cater more to adults with product lines such as LEGO
Architecture and the Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series. Before then it was
mostly space, castle, trains, pirates, etc.—things that are intended primarily
for children.

Seriously though, I as an adult got back into Lego primarily for a type of physio
and mental therapy. I also remember hearing that several participants on the
Lego Masters show also restarted Lego in their life after accidents or health
problems. Its used in Seniors centres as Group building projects, hand and finger
manipulation, and active mental math skills. Just like we give toddlers Duplo,
Post-Tramatic Brain Injury patients need to work up to the hand eye co-ordination
needed for small Lego. Its always been a teaching tool whether you knew it at
the time or not.

| I sell some duplo and they are interesting. I guess some people use them either
for kids or other projects. Or nice collections especially with the different
characters comming out.
