| So, someone placed an order with me, and I shipped them the parts as I normally
do. About a week later I get a message from the buyer saying I sent them a different
part than ordered. I know for a fact I sent them the correct one. It is a $0.50
part, so should I refund it or argue? I genuinely curious to hear your replies
so please let me know. Part of me wants to not risk negative or neutral feedback,
but part of me feels wrong for letting it go. And I AM 100% POSITIVE I sent them
the correct part. Thanks!

If it's a high feedback buyer, I would just refund and move on. If it's
a newer buyer, ask for a photo or inquire (politely as possible) if they happened
to have ordered similar parts from other sellers and opened them all at the same
time.
I am constantly surprised by how often the response to this is: Oh, I must have
mixed them up. It also helps that I take an image of all my orders before they
are packed. Most of the time, I can identify the part in question and show them
the image.
Good luck,
Jen

| I am not sure how you value your time but I'm sure you spent more than 50
cents of it typing this out.

| Well, it's the principle of the matter in my opinion. |

| You have over 1,000 orders and over 500 seller feedbacks, and you haven't
encountered this situation before?
Also, how are you positive you sent the correct part?

| I don't know, but what I do know is this is what they ordered: 93223
This is what they claimed they received: 15501
Now I specifically remember packing this order a week ago and there is a major
difference between parts. I don't think I even own one of the 15501.

| Check your physical inventory. If you have one too many of part 93223 then you
sent something else. If the physical count is correct then do what jennifer suggested
and ask the buyer if they mashed your order up with another one.
Failing that, refund the 50 cents or offer a coupon for more (buyer's choice).
What else can you do? Put yourself in the buyer's shoes - they think you
sent the wrong part and you have to fix the issue. I doubt this is a scam over
a 50 cent part.

I learned my lesson (not here but on another platform). If the issue is for
a few bucks credit the item, if single item credit the shipping too and move
on. If you are a 100% feedback seller you may see something like this every
500 orders and your time is just to valuable. It's like talking about insured
packages or not. On small orders I would consider it as your self insuring the
packages and take the loss, move on.
