I was thinking on writing a book about Lego.

I need you to give me insight if this is a good opening paragraph.

Just Imagine.... you are 4 years old, you just got your first Lego Space set...
it's only 56 pieces. No problem... 2 hours later you find out you missed
a piece back on page 3. You take apart a few pieces and you try to concentrate
the rest of the way through. When you are finally done, your father looks at
it and says.... does that one belong there? CRAP!... my 1 by 2 brick is off by
one stud.

This is my story...

It could be a good novel. But it depends on how the Freudian issues with the
paternal Lego Master play out. Does the son spend his life vainly trying to win
his father's approval? Does he do so by gathering a crack team of international
thieves to pull off a daring heist of the Billund Lego vault? Or does he drop
out of society, living off the grid, and sailing around the world as a deck hand
on a tramp steamer, returning years later with an earned deep serenity and the
profound wisdom garnered in his travels?

Yeah, based on what you've given us so far, it has potential.

I have said this on the forum before but here.

To Me Lego is a beautiful collection of plastic bricks. These bricks can be made
into hundreds, millions and even billions of things.

Lego can come as a set with instructions. A group of pieces to build anything.
Maybe even a character from Muppets or Looney Tunes.

I have been building Lego for years and it has helped me with everything. When
I'm down or annoyed I like to sit down at my Lego table and build away.
Some of my MOC projects can least a few weeks (Lego Minecraft Ghast MOC). And
others can only take a few days, (Lego Christmas Tree Ornaments).

I just love to sit down at the end of a long day and build something with Lego.
I love going onto YouTube and seeing some cool new Lego Set Leaks. I am hyped
every day because I know that there will always be something cool on the Bricklink
Forums or something on The Brothers Brick.

I can't explain how much Lego has helped me over the years. And as I know
hundreds of people around me also share my love of Lego.

As the years have gone by Lego has changed so much. They have gone from basic
sets like Lego Police Patrol Car (Set #600) to beautiful masterpieces like the
Lego Vintage Typewriter (Set #21327).

I have grown up with Lego around me for the past 10 years. Even as a young kid
I played with Duplo.

I thank Lego for its HUGE role in my life and the amount of happiness it has
brought me.

What do you think Lego is? What does the plastic brick mean to you?

Ha,

Most was bought by my parents and relatives.

Back when I was young, 10ish.

After all I do have about 250-280 sets.

Perhaps he is one of those lucky AFOLs that has access to a physical LEGO store.

Store Closed Store: Element Array
Serenity.

Sitting on a comfy couch, massive bin of mixed elements, a dozen smaller bins
arranged in a semicircle, sorting pieces with tunes playing in the background.

Doesn't allow a lot of time to think about all the b%!$@)&.
