Unsure of "pin hole" meaning as applied here

I don't know if such a thing exists.

| What about using 3L bar in the cone with a technic half pin on the bar that is
sticking out the top of the cone. Yes, no, maybe.

| Well normally, that would work. But I am making a custom street lamp post that
a wire can go all the way through the post to the lamp to light it up.

So, if you need a Technic pin, and if you need its inner tube to stay empty,
that means you want to connect the pin into a Technic hole, no?
In that case, you simply & directly connect the Technic hole to the stud at the
top of the cone.

As popsicle mentioned, some 2X2 cones have a hollow stud, but the smaller hole
that is often called the "pin hole" is the one that would accept things like
hair accessories for Friends minidolls or helmet accessories for clone troopers.
If you put a
on top of a 2X2 cone, you would have a pin hole on top.
