Forum ignore X-person list:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageFilter.asp?viewFrom=P

For those of us that want a more peaceful reading of the forum, you could try
this, it has helped me stay sane and not react to certain people/types:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageFilter.asp?viewFrom=P

There will always be people you don’t agree with, that is just life, but just
like in real life, you avoid certain people and certain situations, so can be
done on the forum.

Please if you disagree with me put me on your ignore list, just like you don’t
like me, I probably don’t like your opinion on certain things.
Things I avoid are discussions of religion, that is personal and just like certain
body parts should be kept private and in your pants.

Only thing I hope to get out of this post is to help others find the “ignore
x-person” list.

So, one more time, you want to ignore someone on forum, see:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageFilter.asp?viewFrom=P

Have a great day and a good forum experience, do with this information what you
will

Maxx
P.s. I like 2x4 bricks of all colors

I like the 2x4 bricks too. So how did you get those 2x4 bricks in those cool
mixed colours? I see you are selling rare coloured 2x4 bricks but are you selling
any of the "mixed" coloured bricks like the one in the picture which is white
and orange?

You take two or more colors you like, put them in the oven, after heating
up, put them in a blender and stir for 2 minutes and one light year.
Probability says that you should end up with two equally mixed 2x4 bricks.
(results may vary due to the time mixed)

I see you are selling rare coloured 2x4 bricks but are you selling

I have a few doubles, but am still in the process of seeing which I want to keep.
But I do sell other sized marbled bricks.

Is it not a widely known actual fact, that if a 2x4 brick isn't shiny, it
is a later print...

"Cyberbullying is when someone, typically a teenager, bullies or harasses others
on the internet and other digital spaces, particularly on social media sites.
Harmful bullying behavior can include posting rumors, threats, sexual
remarks, a victims' personal information, or pejorative labels."

..."A pejorative or slur is a word or grammatical form expressing a negative
or a disrespectful connotation, a low opinion, or a lack of respect toward someone
or something."

when you call people a Troll, you are labeling them
hence, you are Cyber-Bullying
plain & simple

yes,
"ignore the guy who posts definitions of words & facts that explains the terminology
'Troll' is a Perjorative Slur & falls under the definition of Cyber-Bullying
when it is being applied to others directly because he is exposing us for who
we are... Cyber-Bullies"

if you want to describe someone's actions as Trolling, that is fine.
but to directly label the member(s) with a Perjorative, well.. that has already
been defined above.

If anything - Miragetroopers would've been sent by Anakin Skywalker to protect
Luke Skywaler as an adolescent on Tatooine. Ben Kenobi already gave himself up,
and if it were me, I would've already Lightsabred Darth Vader's head
into a crisp 😎

Only thing I hope to get out of this post is to help others find the “ignore
x-person” list.

So, one more time, you want to ignore someone on forum, see:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageFilter.asp?viewFrom=P

Have a great day and a good forum experience, do with this information what you
will

P.s. I like 2x4 bricks of all colors

Do you like 2x2 bricks half as much Maxx?

For those of us that want a more peaceful reading of the forum, you could try
this, it has helped me stay sane and not react to certain people/types:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageFilter.asp?viewFrom=P

There will always be people you don’t agree with, that is just life, but just
like in real life, you avoid certain people and certain situations, so can be
done on the forum.

Please if you disagree with me put me on your ignore list, just like you don’t
like me, I probably don’t like your opinion on certain things.

I would be more than accepting of donating a couple/few bricks towards a good
cause.
I have some.

Rarest is hard to tell, I have a lot of parts I only have one of.

But I have some very rare items:
1 window sticker for a store
2 plastic baggies with two 2x4 bricks, I only own the right one, still looking
for the left one
3 pretty rare at the moment, Pearl gold

Rarest………4th picture, because I only know of one other, see TEST on it.

Enjoy,
Maxx

So this is a real LEGO brick, made in Amsterdam the Netherlands:

Immigrant” don’t know why it autocorrected it to image when my ancestors came
over they had to spend a few nights in jail since they could find anywhere else
to stay (so to story goes) and apparently the police were fine with it!

I’d have to ask again but I know when we came over (approx) we changed are last
name but or old last name meant blacksmiths (sorry I don’t know much Dutch)
but when I get to work tomorrow if I remember I’ll check our family tree since
we have one that goes back like 4-5 generations. But 1 thing I know is a long
time ago when we were still in Holland/Netherlands we had some very small ancestors
that would go around in a cart drawn by donkeys instead of horses

So this is a real LEGO brick, made in Amsterdam the Netherlands:

Nice brick! (I myself am like a 3rd or 4th generation image and from Holland)

Immigrant” don’t know why it autocorrected it to image when my ancestors came
over they had to spend a few nights in jail since they could find anywhere else
to stay (so to story goes) and apparently the police were fine with it!

That explains a lot

Any family left in the Netherlands that you know of?
Or which part you came from?

I’d have to ask again but I know when we came over (approx) we changed are last
name but or old last name meant blacksmiths (sorry I don’t know much Dutch)

Smid or Smit or something similar are pretty common Dutch names.

but when I get to work tomorrow if I remember I’ll check our family tree since
we have one that goes back like 4-5 generations. But 1 thing I know is a long
time ago when we were still in Holland/Netherlands we had some very small ancestors

You mean dwarfs…….

that would go around in a cart drawn by donkeys instead of horses

That could be anything from the garbage collector to vegetable seller.
Hope you can find out more and when your family left over here.
I guess it was just before our country made a huge step in IQ improvement……..

They made one?
I’ll check for sure tho!

Turns out the family tree is behind some drawers but I managed to get some photos.
it goes back to 1731! I've attached some photos of it. This is my dad's
family tree and his family is from Friesland. I asked my mom and apparently,
we have a few relatives (we don't have any contact and only hear when they
die) so if you know and Smedes out there good chance we are related. And 1 correction
the cart was pulled by a goat, not donkeys (see the last photo) and we came
over on September 18, 1952

I’m from Utrecht, so the middle of the country

Noticed the name Melle in there, my oldest daughters name is Melle.

My family comes from the Achterhoek, Gelderland.

Family name Kroes, meaning beker or cup from the word crucible.
I like to think my forefather was a tavern owner drinking lots of beer

Very clever, Chris.

Assuming by "pureile" you meant puerile cesspool, I gotta ask: how is
it that you're so familiar with such internet "cesspools?" Putting that
aside, any so-called adult, that still speaks of hate in those terms, is in fact
puerile and entirely unaware of the term's import

Cory, I'm not even surprised that you're the first response to that post.
We've talked about this before. Your weird fixation with me and your compulsion
to nit-pick my posts is unhealthy.

Correcting minor typos in internet forums in a vain (both meanings intended)
attempt to score points is not something normal, well-adjusted adults do; it
is something insecure people do. Attacking someone who is well-read and well-informed
about less savory internet territory is also not the "gotcha" that you think
it is.

I know that you think you're being witty, but there's really no substance
to your reply. What was your point? Seriously, I'd like to know what message
you were trying to convey to me (or to the forum in general). Just be direct,
man. What was your point?

“pureile (puerile) cesspool - foolish noise and spiteful sniping - base behavior
- idiocy and hate - grow up - you’re an adult; start acting like it”

These are some of what you offered your fellow BL members all within a couple
of short sentences, before I even chimed into your usual abuse of the uninitiated
here.

My response to you was succinct, Chris. I don’t think I could've been any
more direct or sincere with you either. If you don’t understand, I’m sorry but
not surprised, given the level of intelligence you're displaying.

It was anything but, Cory. Both your responses landed with unfiltered vitriol
and some hints of anger, but still nothing resembling a point. It appears that
you simply don't think very highly of me. Is that your point? I can't
say I'm going to lose any sleep over that, but I am curious why you seem
so invested in attacking me.

My point was: "we're all adults here, this is not cesspool, act accordingly
or go somewhere else."

Your response was: "it takes one to know one, and also you can't spell and
you used words that hurt my feelings and you're not an adult and you're
not intelligent."

You know, Cory, I've watched as some members post mesages that are unnecessarily
aggressive and confrontational, or even just downright mean--much harsher
than anything I could ever bring myself to write--and yet you remain silent.
Why is that? There is something about my words that seems to stir something
within you. What is it about me, in particular, that you find so irksome?

Nailed it! It was the "...seems to stir something within in you..." wasn't
it? Now that I reread it, I can't help but hear the dulcet tones of Barry
White as he croons on a white shag carpet in front of a crackling fireplace.

His internal-censor is concerning, even for a forumite. The racial slur was self-directed,
not acceptable obviously, just pointing out that he was not responding with aggression
to another member.

This is BrickLink, not some pureile cesspool like *****.

There is no longer a need for social soundboards like ***** and Something A*****.
That counter-culture was washed down with humor, and is now internet culture.

there are plenty of other internet hangouts where you might be more comfortable.

Banishing anyone to an echo chamber only helps the common good, not the greater,
but I firmly support you calling out harassment.
