I have a huge collection of LEGOs. Literally hundreds of sets. Mostly Star
Wars, some Pirates, a few others. All are in zip lock bags with assembly instructions.
Some have the original boxes. Passed along by a deceased family member. They
are probably complete, but I can’t guarantee this. I want to sell them as a
whole group. I also want to avoid assembling each individually to make sure
they are complete. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You'll need to upgrade your account to seller and complete the new seller
verification process to sell on Bricklink.

Ebay is probably your best bet.

This can be a good place to do that. You will need a sellers upgrade. Good luck
on your goal.

I agree ebay is probably best, if you don't want to catalogue the items.
You'll probably get more money here, but it'll take much more work. On
Ebay you can sell as a job lot, set a minimum reserve (or no reserve) and then
go from there. Just make sure to photograph the instruction manuals and any key
pieces to help identify sets.

You can use BL to check the value of sets as well to give a rough estimate of
costs/rarity. hope that's helpful.

brinklink hasd an option for "Super Lots: General Bulk Lots"'

i'm not familiar with them, but if you want to avoid ebay, for whatever reasons,
i think you can post lots like that on here. .maybe with pics..

just an idea.. i am sure some of the ol' veterans can detail it for you if
needed..

To verify set parts without assembling:
find set in Marketplace. Under "Item consists of" click the number of parts.
Copy the list to documents and print with or without the picture of each part.
Use printout as a checklist to verify that the parts are present. Don't forget
stickers or stickered parts. Keep the list in the bag with the set.

Hi Red,

Welcome to Bricklink. And I am sorry to hear of the loss of your family member.
Like others have mentioned, eBay is good for larger lots (sometimes less money
though) while Bricklink is good for individualized sets for sale (although there
is a bit more work involved, and the need to upgrade to a seller's account).

Always feel free to ask questions in the forum, there are a lot of helpful members
here.

Take care,
Christopher

I’ll just add to what others have said and give you very rough numbers.

100s of complete Star Wars sets would likely go for Thousands obviously depending
on which sets they were and what condition they’re in.

I’d give this rough assessment. 40 pounds of Star Wars sets (approximately 40
sets) could be around $2500 if sold as complete sets.

If sold for parts and figures separately, you could maybe get $5,000

If sold in a giant bulk lot on eBay or fb marketplace, you could maybe get $800.

Just very rough approximations to give you a general idea of what you have.
