| There should be an option for raising seller issues even after orders have been
cancelled.
I have dealt with 1 seller twice now, on both occasions they have not had the
items advertised in stock.
First time they cancelled my order immediately after buying as Covid restrictions
in place meant they couldn't get to their storage, I was kind enough to leave
Positive as they contacted me to explain and said once they could get there we
could re-order, later when they could access the items were not there.
This time around they were the only Australian seller so I ordered, weeks of
excuses including that they got covid and were sick, which I was understanding
of, then they cancel order with "sorry it's not there" as the reason.
Because the orders were cancelled there is no recourse other than Negative feedback,
there should be a way to lodge an issue so that if the seller repeatedly does
this they get penalized for it appropriately.
This is the only seller I've had issues with on BL in my time and both times
I've had to source the sets elsewhere and usually at more cost to me as I've
missed the similar priced sets in that wasted time.

You could still report them to Help Desk. Maybe an admin would then check their
cancellation history.

The seller has this set in their inventory with a note that says SOLD

Worth investigating IMHO

Not that it helps at all, but it looks like this seller sells elsewhere and doesn't
update or check their stock much. Although I'm not sure why they don't
just delete lots if they have sold elsewhere, it is just as easy to delete as
it is to add a comment.
Their complete series of CMFs is also listed incorrectly, as 16x packets under
the random listing, when whole series have existed for some time.
This series "set" was added in 2019,
but they had already added a very expensive one of these in 2018,
as theirs contains 16 figures, not the one as listed. Three years later, they
haven't realised the change in the way complete series are listed.
So they don't seem to add very much, or sell very much and so probably don't
check their inventory very much.

So they could be reported for selling items they don't have in stock.

Yes, if you or the original poster wants to.

It's probably left there so that it gets people clicking on their page and
looking at other items they actually might have..
How would one go about lodging such a complaint?, While not exactly new to BrickLink
the site sometimes is a little confusing to navigate, plus I've not had this
issue before here.

Problem Center at the bottom of the page, then something like items for sale.
