| Hello!
I have a question: could my activity (and the way I carry myself) on the forum
be driving away customers? I never spent much time on the forum, but once I started,
someone added me to their Least Favorite list! 😂
I never did say anything that would drive anybody away except for when I asked
for advice on separating my bricks? Maybe they thought that made me a bad seller?
Idk! All I want to know is do I have to walk on eggshells on here, or just not
care? Does my activity make people think I’m not a good seller? Thanks!

| There are all kinds of reasons people add sellers to their least favorite list.
It could be from something in the forum, but probably not. You store's
terms say that you don't ship to Alaska or Hawaii, so it's possible that
your store comes up when someone is searching for sellers in the USA, but if
they're in Alaska or Hawaii, then they might put you on their least favorite
list so that you won't show up in their searches anymore.

The stop list is the other way around, they are preventing you from being a buyer
in their store.
The buyers that don't want to see your store are the ones under Members list
me as a favorite store - Least

Very few prospective customers are forum readers, not regular readers anyhow.
But putting that aside, why would you care? Be yourself and speak your mind at
all times. Don’t “walk on eggshells on here” my friend, stomp on them!
If it is indeed personality-clashing that should get you placed on least favorite,
ignore or stop lists, take it for what it is; petulance. Though you’ll seldom
know with any certainty the real reasons, therefore it’s useless concerning yourself
over it.
You will find with more time here, these lists mean little to nothing to the
serious selling member. In other words, no correlation between loss of buyers
and viewpoints expressed here. In my experience anyway.
I enjoy reading your posts, hope you'll keep them coming as they are (maybe
even edge-it-up some )

Feedback speaks volumes and this is more important than anything you say in the
forum. If you believe your shared opinion is honest, fair and relevant and you
treat people with equal respect this is all you can really do but don't be
afraid to challenge people who are rude, unhelpful and condescending.... Calling
a few people out or expressing a difference of opinion is sometimes necessary
and won't have any noticeable effect on you or your store providing its others
that are acting inappropriately and not yourself. Either way only a very tiny
percentage of users routinely read the forums anyway and unless its a really
hot topic the average post/thread probably only gets around 50-100 views (Baring
in mind many will consist of repeat clicks!)

handling fees, etc..that is the quickest way to my stop list. But why don't
you ship to Alaska or Hawaii? Maybe I'm wrong and misremembering as I have
only shipped a handful of orders to those states, but the shipping costs are
not crazy. I believe a 1-4 oz package costs less than $4 going to those states.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that.

Couple things you can do:
1 - establish a minimum order amount ($1, $5, $10 are popular choices)
2 - use a service that can give you commercial shipping rates (e.g. Pirate Ship)
3 - charge a small order handling fee for orders under a certain threshold
For myself, shipping to Alaska is no more expensive than shipping to California
($3.86 for 1st class 4oz or under).

You are good, there are circa two dozen "forum dwellers" that are not. They will
be a presents here in some form in perpetuity, don't concern yourself with
these lists. As long as you continue to perform as an excellent BL vendor and
patron of other decent sellers here, who really cares about these types? Like
I said, it's petulance. Which is found in some degree in all of us.
If this type of thing concerns you, rethink or leave the forum. I'm
hoping you rethink.

I got stop listed for calling a seller out as a troll after a successful transaction
before. Their behavior resulted in a ban for another forum member. Long timers
know who I am talking about. Others have stop listed me for pointing out their
"terms" don't supersede consumer protection laws. It just shows me how shady
they are as sellers and I don't want to deal with them. People do what they
want, just ignore them and go on. Probably saves you some future grief.

Nah, I'm sure a lot of people think I am a bit of a troll. But I do sympathize
with him. Been there done that, could open a thrift shop with the t-shirts.
I haven't seen him post anything that should offend anyone. So if anyone
wants to add me to their stop list go right ahead. Someone will take my money

Seriously...
Both store name and showing a religious sign may chase a part of the buyers:
* the ones who think you should keep this for yourself,
* the ones who don't share the same religion, or worse, think yours isn't
the good one.
In short, and IMHO, it's not the more optimal commercial approach
But of course, if you don't care, do as you think.

| I have over 10 people on my least favourite store, only one of which was a personal
experience, so yes, how you present yourself can lead to getting both positive
and negative exposure.
