| This is the first time this has happened to me as a seller.
I use Stamps.com. When I prepared a shipping label for a customer in France,
the data I entered and the subsequent printed label had me send the parcel to
what I believe is a customs distribution center in Carol Stream, Illinois.
My customer is a bit worried, and I must admit to some trepidation as well. It
arrived at that facility on June 6, which was eight days ago.
Have any other sellers experienced this? Is the place legit? Seems odd that Stamps.com
would print out a shipping label, based on USPS data, to a bogus place. I need
to know what I should tell my customer (unsure, not to worry, etc?)
Thanks for any assistance.

| Did stamps.com perhaps pair with asendia or something similar on that order?
I also am shipping a couple of things internationally and most/all of them go
first from Canada to the USA and then from the USA to Europe.

Ship-station sends all International mail there to be forwarded in bulk to the
destination country. On every label you print, you'll see a second International
tracking number at the bottom. Be sure to either use the US tracking number up
top, and detail what is happening to your customers, or use the International
one, and also inform them that they will not see immediate movement due to local
shipping occurring first.

Carol Stream is the location of a major USPS sorting facility.
They mostly handle letters, but sometimes international packages get routed through
there as well.
Like kzinti said, make sure you are using the international tracking number (the
one that ends in US).
Did you try tracking it on the La Poste website? https://www.laposte.fr/outils/suivre-vos-envois
