TL;DR: the screen is a real OLED screen and the “text” (image actually) changes!

Wondering when TLG will realize we want things like that… or even simple lighting
bricks!

Wow!!

Thanks for sharing.

As for Lego lighting bricks, I had some of those when I was a kid (ones you had
to connect to the battery packs). But yeah, Lego really could do so much more
nowadays. Look at all the off-brand light solutions available; Lego could make
even more money!!!

too.

Yes, big banana plugs and the wires were not souple enough but it was the 1980s!

Yeah, quite expensive kits….
I looked a bit into model or even general LED kits: even simple wires are at
prohibitive prices.
I’d buy from a more general electronic shop… but those mostly don’t exist anymore:
they sell kits too. *sigh*

I also remember now that TLG had a thing a couple year ago where you could pitch
them an idea and they’d work with you to make it a real business.  And they had
a poll where they asked us what ideas we’d be interested in… and lights were
in there.
So they should know we want them!  (Because it’s obvious everybody answered like
me! )

Transparent lighting bricks.. already on the market, called Laser Pegs.
Very nice bricks, and fit with Lego.

Er, no thank you.  (That they are not LEGO could be “forgiven” but for the fact
you need to buy crappy $20 sets for one or two bricks….)
