| Hello Bricklink Community,
I recently discovered that my [old] account had been suspended due to inactivity
after not purchasing or logging in for quite awhile. One way or another, the
email with the link to verify/keep my account was deleted or misplaced. I'm
not complaining and I realize that it was my responsibility to keep my account
active. I was just wondering if it were still possible to recover my account.
If it helps, I still have the original email that I received when I created my
account in 2012. Also, I did try a keyword search for other threads related to
this question but it didn't return any relevant results. Thank you in advance
to the community for your help.

There is a thread somewhere in this forum about this. There was a change to
agreement in the backend that you had to agree to. If this did not happen in
a period of time, they locked your account. They sent an email to everyone with
the recovery process, but this was a long time ago. I believe you need that
to recover. I'll keep digging to see if I can find the specifics.

It’s because of the EU GDPR and the Californian similar law: BL couldn’t keep
your personal data without your agreement, so they sent it back to you and deleted
it.

Before they suspend your account, they must have sent you an specific email with
a file attached.
This file contains your personal informations, it's required to reactivate
your account.
They process this way so they can erase on their side all your data (imagine,
for 100 000's users...)
I don't think there's a way to recover access to this account without
this file.
Hoping it helps -
Sylvain
