| Dear Experts
I have a seller, who, for the 2nd time is claiming a package did not arrive.
(UK to UK) As I have only ever had four go missing in way over 3000 orders I
am righty suspicious. I messaged three other buyers who have all had the same
experience. Now, other than stoplist him, the packages sent are under £20 and
therefore insured up to that amount but they are obviously doing this scam regularly.
Can he be reported somewhere? I don't want other buyers to suffer. Also,
would you call them out?
Thank you in advance.

It is not clear, are you the seller or the buyer here? You say it is a seller
claiming it has not arrived and that you have contacted other buyers. But then
mention stoplisting them, which is a seller action.
If you are the seller and they are the buyer, then yes it might best good idea
to stoplist them or insist on tracked postage.

| Sorry, I have confused my message - more haste less speed! I am the seller and
the other party is a buyer who has now, it would appear, told the same story
to 6 other sellers too of 'it hasn't arrived.'

| Please note, as above message should say for clarity. I am the SELLER, I wrote
it wrong. It is not a 2nd account, this is the 2nd time. It's a normal street
address and I have now questioned 10 sellers and all but two have said that he
has claimed the post hasn't arrived. One of the two sent tracked and signed
for, I have yet to check with the other. I am asking for where I go next with
this other than stoplisting. I do not want to 'out' someone on here until
it is fully investigated so I will not share a link.

It's still possible, like 99999 is a random number also.
It could also be not his/her fault: unpleasant local postman or lazy post office...
Did you check the adress? It points to something "normal" in Google map?

It's a valid address. Points to a normal residential location on Google.

| Whitehorse Matt knows because he is another seller who has had the same issue
with this particular buyer. We have been in communication.

| I had the same issue with a buyer a year or so back can't remember the buyer.
Small value order claimed none delivery so I refunded. Then two months later
he bought again and claimed none delivery. I messaged him and said I thought
it strange that two orders from me had gone missing. I told him I would put a
claim in with the post office but they may get in touch with him to verify none
receipt etc as he may have a dodgy postman. Two days later it miraculously appeared.

Contact Royal Mail. If this is a scam they will have likely received multiple
claims for lost mail to this address. Tell them you believe this is mail fraud
which is a criminal offence and that you will provide any evidence to support
their investigation. If it is not a scam then they likely have a rogue postman
which they need to investigate and your evidence may help.

I can't answer for the other sellers involved. But mine was a small order
which I just refunded as I didn't think anything of it at the time, so there
was no involvement of the Post Office.

If they are recent orders, then you and the other sellers could change the existing
feedback to record that a refund was necessary. If there is a pattern would then
show up in the buyer's feedback. I'm not saying to change them to negatives,
but noting the refund so others can see it.
