Set the payment status to none. You should then be able to add the shipping charge
and send an updated invoice.
To set the payment status to none, either scroll to the bottom of the order details
page and click "Edit Order", or go to My BL -- Settings -- My Order Settings
and check the box to separate the payment status from the order status. You will
then be able to change the payment status directly from your Orders Received
page.
Hope that helps.

Maybe a picture will help. There is a setting that you can enable that will create
a new column on the orders received page with the payment status. You should
then see a drop-down menu that will allow you to set the payment status to none,
sent, received, etc. Setting it to none should allow you to add a shipping charge
and send a new invoice. If not, then you may want to consult the help desk.

Put the received payment in the credit field.
That way only the shipping cost is on the new invoice.

Forget BrickLink - too complicated.
Send an e-mail your buyer with the cost he has to pay, provide your PayPal address
and amount, or an URL to do this, or a paypal.me shortcut.
Add a 0.50$ for extra PayPal fees.
Say (kindly) you won't ship before this extra is paid, and if not, refund
and cancel.
Done.

| You need to change the three fields with the red arrows.
1 Change Payment Status to none
2 Change Order Status to Received
3 Change Shipping Method to one of your shipping methods
4 Click Submit Changes at the bottom
You may need to do it in two steps. #1 and #4 and then 2, 3 and 4.
The greyed fields on the right should then be editable.
As it's only a $0.05 order, For PayPal, you will lose money on this order
if you don't put in an additional charge. Tell them to send it via e-transfer
if you accept it.
As a new seller, you don't have this enabled automatically, you need to send
an email to the help desk to have "Bank Transfer" or "e-transfer" enabled.
On an unrelated note, I see that you accept many currencies. In order for that
to work, you need to have a different PayPal wallet for each one. It is much
easier to limit it to CDN, USD, Euro and GBP.

It used to be easier, but it looks like PayPal and BL are more linked then they
used to be.
You will have to refund the buyer, and reinvoice them.

I don't follow. Why not simply send the buyer an invoice straight from Paypal
for the shipping cost?
Niek.

I was only thinking about keeping it within BL.
Is there an option to add fees inside of PayPal?
Or just including them in the shipping costs?
This seller will lose money on a $0.05 sale by using PayPal without a handling
charge.
For the OP. You only offer PayPal on-site, but state that you would like a $5
minimum to use PayPal due to fees. You should add a minimum buy limit if you
don’t want to have a handling fee.

A manual PP invoice consists of line items of whatever your imagination can dream
up. In this case, you can create one with a single line item "Shipping cost for
BL #xxxxxxxx", and if you like you can add a line item for "Fees" and one for
"Emotional damage". There are no restrictions, it is not tied to the original
transaction in any way.
Niek.
