| and it was missing a large portion of the parts. I ordered a used vahki set from
the seller "YoHoser" from their store "HitDaBrix" and when it arrived it was
missing the head, hip piece, upper torso, and lower legs and several parts I
also ordered were either incorrect or damaged. Shouldn't the seller list
a item as incomplete if its missing parts? what constitutes a complete set? I'm
fairly new to brick link but I would assume that complete meant the set its self
is fully intact. The worst of it is that when I tried to reach out to the seller
I find he has shut down his store conveniently the day my order arrived apparently
going on "vacation" for the month. Is he allowed to do claim a set is complete
when its missing several important parts along side sending me unspecified as
damaged parts? if it isn't how can I report this behavior I cant find any
option to do so anywhere?
the image uploaded is my supposedly complete Vahki set.

| Hi,
sorry to read your bad experience so soon after you entered the BrickLink community.
This is nog the regular way an order is handled.
If contacting the seller fails, start an NSS: Non-Shipping-Seller through this
page for the order:
https://www.bricklink.com/retractOrder.asp?utm_content=subnav
Enter the order number and follow the instructions.
keep communications open (if possible!) at all times. People do make mistakes
and are mostly eager to correct them when given the opportunity .

Yes, contact the seller, maybe it was an honest mistake and then if you do not
receive a reasonable resolution - (ie they send you the missing parts or offer
you a refund) , then start the NSS as the other poster mentioned. Also if you
paid by Paypal, you can open a case for the incomplete set - go to the Help section
, then click on Disputes. You didn't get what you expected and Paypal can
help you get your money back. You have to open a PP case within 180 days of purchase.

The definitions are here: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=102
For used sets: Complete - Set contains all parts necessary to build all of the
models (including alternate models) in the instructions but does not have to
contain the original box/packaging and/or extra parts. If the set is missing
instructions, the description must state so. If the set did not come with instructions
then the set should include all parts listed in the picture inventory which is
located on the box or bucket. The set must include all original stickers used
on the model either still on the sticker sheet or applied.
Note in some cases that means that you do not necessarily get everything in the
inventory listed at Bricklink (especially for sets where extra unnecessary parts
were on sprues or in bags), but you should get everything you need to build all
the models in the instructions.
In your case, it looks like the seller screwed up. Let them know.

Sorry this happened to you. Insist on a refund and leave appropriate feedback.
Next time, check your seller’s feedback before purchasing. This seller has a
history of sending incomplete orders and damaged parts.
Hope things work out!

| If you have any use for the parts you did receive, contact the buyer to negotiate
a partial refund. If you have no use at all for the parts, contact the seller
for a refund. If you don't hear back within a day or 2 or 3, open a PayPal
claim.
You can still contact a seller even if their store is closed.

I have also (unfortunately) had terrible dealings with that same seller. They
just don't have the knowledge of set inventories or listing skills it seems,
as the same thing happened for me (on several sets). They don't even admit
when they're wrong, which makes everything much more frustrating... Initiate
a NSS if they don't make everything right for you.

so slight update. I got in contact with him and we started talking but he was
very dismissive and denying of any mistake asking if I was confused if I had
the "right store/set" then he got the set number completely wrong when he was
talking about how he inventoried set almost as if he was making stuff up on the
spot. I pointed out that he had got the set number wrong he just seemingly completely
stop responding. I don't know where to go to from here. I'm not even
all that angry any more just dissapointed.

new update, I cant file a nss yet unfortunately there's some kind of timed
thing on filing one it seems, he did respond finally though now he is saying
that the parts missing don't exist. I've sent him a link to each part
missing so I'm waiting on his response I'm def going to file that nss
as soon as I can unless he can turn this around some how. as it stands I frankly
don't get how someone like this could even be on this site. def making me
reconsidering using it honestly this whole experience has left quite a bad impression
on me.

Sorry you have had this experience, fortunately it is not the norm here. Try
not to let the bad actors sour your opinion of Bricklink. Be sure to leave appropriate
feedback for this seller to let others know your opinion of your experience.
NSS can not be filed until 7 days have passed. See this help topic: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=110
