Hello all,
Just curious if anyone has run into many scammers on this site? I've placed
over 50 orders on this site and never had any issues until now. I placed an order
on 4/23, Seller didn't invoice until 4/27 which I paid within an hour. Seller
has all positive feedback most recently about the quick shipping and responsive
seller. I've since sent the seller several messages on both BL and direct
email with no response.

Luckily I paid with Paypal. Has anyone had to request a refund before, is it
easy to do?

Strange, I've had such a wonderful buying experience on this site prior this
purchase!

4/27 was a Friday, and it is only Monday. I know my weekend was hectic, things
come up, people sometimes only work during business hours, I would give it sometime.
You cant even open an NSS until a week has passed.

Not everyone can turn an order around in 24 hours. I'd caution patience.
This isn't Amazon by a long shot.

What are their stated shipping times? Like others have pointed out it's been
the weekend, so it's only been one business day.

Also, you sent them several messages during this time? No offense, but customers
who pester during the weekend are some of the more annoying people I deal with.
Sellers' lives don't revolve around their business; they need breaks,
and I find it annoying when customers expect an instantaneous response on Saturdays
and especially Sundays.

It has only been 3 business days since you paid. Business days are Monday-Friday.
Chill out. People don't live this business 24/7 and they shouldn't.
You may be delaying them more by constantly asking them things.

You paid Wednesday and it's possible that you paid after they closed for
the night. That would make it 2 work days since you paid. If you really want
to, you can open a NSS 7 days after paying if you really think they aren't
going to ship to you. I wouldn't recommend that personally though and I'm
afraid you may have already gotten yourself blocked from a number of stores with
this post.

If they took 4 days to invoice you, I would bet that either this seller has too
much on their plate at the moment (which doesn't make them a scammer) or
is just a part-time worker. I would normally wait a week after your payment before
contacting them about your order unless their terms say differently.

Good luck,
Jen

Thank you all for the responses.

I'm not concerned about the shipping timeline, I understand we all have lives,
but the lack of response from the seller. I'd consider the seller to be smaller
as they only have around 50 complete sets listed in their store. I ordered a
$300 used set and since the seller didn't provide a description I had an
simple inquiry about the condition (ship sails) with no response from the seller
for 10+ days. Seems reasonable to expect a reply in that amount of time, thus
my thread asking about scammers.

You weren't kidding about being blocked =) seems un-profesional if you are
trying to sell items to block potential buyers. Fortunately it was all from stores
I'd not purchase from as I only order from N.A. or don't ship to my
state. =)

I was just curious about other experiences on this site as mine had been wonderful
until this purcahse. That's what I get for asking a simple question to strangers
online =)

Actually this community is one of the nicest bunches you will come across. However
you came across as aggressive and accusatory. Labelling someone a Scammer even
with a question mark is a serious accusation that can negatively effect their
reputation when it is untrue. The sellers on this site are all individual stores
and most are staffed by the owner and maybe family if they can bribe them enough
to help. Any questions should be asked before you buy. And patience is the
key, you have no idea if the seller got sick or someone in their family passed
away or a lesser event has caused them to not be at your beck and call. Not
that your order gives you that right. As for you being blacklisted, again you
come across as aggressive and impatient and entitled and not everyone wants to
deal with that, and they don't have to.

That depends on your point of view. If a seller has an issue with the way a buyer
has behaved or thinks that a particular buyer is likely to cause trouble,
then it makes sense to block them. In some cases, potential buyers are potential
problems. Missing out on a sale to such a buyer is not a big deal, especially
if someone else will buy an item anyway.

I imagine this happens a fair bit when buyers claim sellers are selling fakes,
when in reality it is buyer ignorance about logos on parts. Same with buyers
that send multiple complaining emails over a weekend or holiday day.

I have had this in one of my first orders, reputable seller, placed an order,
paid, and went into a dark hole. Kept sending messages. After a week or more
passed by, I filed a paypal dispute. No replies there either. Then filed a claim.
Eventually got a reply, someone had died in the family. I felt bad, but in the
end I didn't and couldn't know. Anyway, there could be a valid reason
why they do not reply, but in the end it is business and you have every right
to file a claim if you have exhausted your friendly options.
