| Hello forum folk, I'm new to bricklink and brickstore, loving some of the
features, and having completed our family set collection on brickstore and parted
out sets with missing pieces, have today made our first buy of 100+ missing parts
with just two sellers and at a very good price. A job made a lot easier by bricklink
- so thank you, good work!
Our reason for completing these sets is that my son wants to sell his more junior
lego for advanced sets.
XML DATA FIELDS
With selling in mind, is there any way of downloading an xml file with a wider
range of data included? Specifically dimensions and weight of boxes, and weight
of sets.
We live in the Balearic islands and so post cost is a particularly crucial criteria
for us. I have a pretty sexy spreadsheet that will work out the best post options
according to weight, longest side, combined sides and volumetric weight, and
i would like to be able to offer boxed/unboxed options. All of the information
is in the dataset so I'm hoping to avoid the mind numbing job of entering
it all manually. But when I have imported bricklinks xml files to both brickstore
and excel, the data included is limited to lego part/set etc numbers, type, colour,
and a couple more fields.
If anybody can tell me how I can obtain this additional data, or what i am doing
wrong not to get it by default, it would be very much appreciated.
IMAGES
I had a good browse through help pages when i joined, but didn't notice anything
on whether it is permissible to copy pictures for our own use outside of bricklink?
It is not for any ongoing commercial purpose, just to print labels to help sell
locally for those sets for which we don't have original boxes. If it is OK,
is there a central repository or any way of extracting them against a wantlist,
or would i have to go through each item one by one?
Thanks very much for any help.

Someone posted you the link.
But you'd set up Shipping Methods with Auto Checkout, you don't need
dimensions; the shipping will be automatically calculated based on dimensions
(in the majority of the cases)...
If it cannot, then you'll make a "Manual Invoicing" shipping method, and
you simply can calculate this manually.
In short, and normally, you don't need this data.
There's no easy way to get those 100 000+ pictures.
On way using BrickStore is that it stores in cache in its folder the pictures.
So you'll have them available locally on your PC, you can use them.
