I have a whole bunch of forestmen I'm trying to identify and affix proper
headwear to, and I've come across 2 variants that seem to have a brown chest.
I've included a photo of one of them surrounded by 2 of the standard red
forestmen for color comparison. The reds do seem to come in different shades,
most matching modern dark red, but seem to be true classic brown.

Is this just an old printing inconsistency, or am I just not finding the catalog
entry? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this maybe deserve a new variant? Anybody else able to find any info on
it? I've tried Google search, eBay and the forums and haven't come up
with anything. Any ideas on rarity of them? Comparing the print with others
I have several different shades of red/dark red/maroon (expected), and two with
old brown tunics/collars.

If it gets a variant, unfortunately I would have no idea which set(s) it comes
in or which feather it comes with.

IMO it wouldn't get an entry for this exact reason. It's not a expect
result from production, but a "misprint". This happens from time to time that
either the printing is out of alignment or a color is missed or not properly
laid down. If you're looking to sell it, you can list it as a custom item,
or as the CAS137 entry and add a proper description for the piece. Either way,
good find.
