So many stickers.......... Just curious what other people waiting to be listed
stickered/printed parts piles look like. My own creation of endless headaches

I once managed to catch up with mine but now I have a huge amount of used Lego
that needs sorting, removed most non Lego but haven’t even started separating
the stickered and printed items.

The worst of it is the finding of unlisted decorated parts, spend so much time
searching before assigning them to yet another bin because I need to wait or
add these myself.

Happy to add but never have enough time, my photo’s are not always very good
either.

Yeah, it's definitely fun to add but it does defiantly take up a lot of time.
I have a small container that I put all non-listed ones in and one day try to
get to them.
On a side note, I find the best background to take photos on is actually a label
from a label printer (not sure if you use one)

Sadly I don’t use printed labels, don’t use a printer, very amateur set up using
iPad, all manual packaging.

Thanks for the tip though.

All my images are taken with the iPad camera and most are edited then resized.

I found that the vast majority of sticker parts bring just a fraction more, and
even sometimes less than the non sticker version. If you account for all the
search time your actual net is less. They also take infinitely longer to sell.
There are obvious exceptions and i try to pull those and at least look them
up. I also have 4 or 5 sticker parts on my want list that I buy when they are
available with other things I need that I pull the sticker from and sell for
3x to 10x the cost. I'm certainly not a big fan of them.

I agree, many aren’t worth the effort but you have to identify them before you
know if they have value or not.

If the sticker is damaged I normally remove them as they definitely sell better
as standard parts, odd exceptions for rarer items.

But the fun part is they give your lot count a boost
Plus for no reason in particular I've told myself I will list every single
one of them.
Some of them are nice indeed I just listed on for almost $30 CAD

If they are from a cheap set on a cheap base part, I chuck them in a box to be
sold as bulk. If they are an expensive base part and it's not an obviously
decent sticker, I'll remove the sticker and sell the part. If it looks like
a more valuable stickered part, I'll look it up (and then chuck it in the
bulk box when I find it's a cheap part).

What do y’all do with stickers across multiple parts? Do you just remove the
sticker or do you stick it on a plate and call it a day?

Try to keep them as an assembly but not always possible or worth it.

So just keep the set they came with together so you don’t mess with the sticker?

Stickers on assemblies are always interesting because they are by definition
old and rare. We collect those for restoring sets.

Paper stickers are also worth checking and either listing for sale or putting
aside for restoring sets.

The "flaky" generation of stickers is an interesting one. If the sticker is good,
it could be valuable but they rarely are so most of those stickers are removed.

"Modern" stickers have to be either special (star wars) or very common (like
wood planks) to be interesting. Most of them we just remove.

I don't think most of them that I tend to come across are worth the effort
or time taken to sell. Especially as they tend to be fairly unique, storage is
inefficient unless mixed with others, then that adds to picking time. If they
are nice vintage ones, it's a different story. But in mixed lots from the
past decade, they aren't worth the effort.

I did buy a few 90s part sets last year and it seemed wrong to trash the stickers
from those as I know some people would want the stickered parts and they can
be harder to find, and they were quite easy to identify them as I knew roughly
what sets they'd be from. For storage, I didn't even sort and part the
sets out, just kept all parts together. That made picking quite fast as someone
buying one part from a vintage set tends to buy multiple parts from that set
and they are all in the same location.

Yeah, that's very true. But for some reason, it is always fun to see exactly
what set the sticker is from which drives me crazy if I don't know so I always
end up looking it up anyway so I might as well list it

Yeah it does take up a lot of space to store it but I guess that is just another
excuse I can use to buy more drawers

So you collect drawers?

Well, to each their own.

A BLer is known to collect Barbie dolls… without their drawers on (the dolls,
not the BLer… well, I don’t know, and I don’t want to know or think, about the
BLer).

I’m contemplating adding stickers to parts where I have incomplete sticker sheets.

I presume I’m not alone with this.

That's actually a good idea, for some reason that never even crossed my mind.
I'm sure I've got a whole bunch of half-used sheets somewhere

Mine's pretty organized right now...

One tray per category more or less. When the tray gets full, it's time to
add them.

I find the best background to take new images is just a white sheet of paper.

Wow, that organized! I tend to grab a tray and list them in no particular order
except if its a super common one then I put it in a container to list all at
once.

Ugh. I feel you.

On the plus side, I usually get an immediate sale after listing a handful of
these. So they are worth the effort.

Agreed, for a decent amount of them they do have a good sell-through rate. Plus
with InstaBrick many of them I don't even need to look up myself as it automatically
finds over half of them! (I cant believe I forgot I had one for over half a year!)
