| All morning I have noticed that I cannot edit any wanted list that I have anymore
and constantly get an error saying "Only one item/color combination is allowed
per Wanted List" Has anyone else run into this or know of a fix?

There is a duplicate entry in ONE of your wanted lists, not necessarily the one
you are trying to edit. Find and remove the duplicate (same part, same color)
and you are good to go again.

So if I have two different sets that are parted out in wanted lists, if they
share a piece, I cannot have the quantity needed on both lists?

I Figured it out, a list I added yesterday had a few pieces duplicated in it.
Thanks for your help Hpoort.

Hey, Johnny here. What if I have a list that is all one color and I still get
this error msg?
I've been going nuts for over a week now, any help is truly appreciated.

The problem is when you have twice the same part in the same colour. The colours
of the other parts don’t matter, provided they are other parts.
If you want 2x4 Bricks in Blue and 2x4 Bricks in Red, there’s no problem.
If you want 2x4 Bricks in Blue and 1x2 Bricks in Blue, there’s no problem.
It’s when you want 2x4 Bricks in Blue and 2x4 Bricks in Blue that there’s a problem.
That shouldn’t happen when using the website to manage your WL but it can happen
when you upload a WL.
The simplest solution is to delete the WL and start over.
Otherwise, you need to look at your WL and delete the doublets one by one.

AFAIK it can't happen because of an upload as you get the same message there,
but it can happen when parts are merged in the catalog. That is also why the
error appears out of the blue on wanted lists that do not contain duplicates
at all.

Most important is to know that this message refers to a duplicate in ANY of your
wanted lists, not just the one your are editing.

Oh. Did that change? I thought I remembered it was a way to do it (the other
way being using the old version, hmm, maybe).

Ah, illuminating. I hadn’t thought of that. Thanks

Yep, I didn’t say it again because that was in the message Johnny answered to
(yours ).

Surely I'm not the only one that thinks this is ridiculous?
Almost all of us use wanted lists for separate builds. Why should we stop doing
that when that's obviously what wanted lists were designed for originally?
This needs to be re-done - quickly. It's been broken like this since the
v2 redesign. I used to be able to edit any piece on any wanted list - as long
as there were no duplicates on that particular list, all was golden.

Actually in those days you COULD have duplicates on any wanted list, even within
a list.
This was changed because of the development of the AutoBuy feature - which likely
got confused by this. This was in the same time that V2 was launched. The planned
removal of the old wanted list feature was reverted, but this feature of allowing
duplicates could not be maintained and thus was changed.

Is there any good way to discover which part is causing this? It has happened
to me, out of the blue. I have only ever used BL itself to edit wish lists -
no imports.
I have lots of lists with hundreds of items on them.
Any way to diagnose it other than to look at every part on every list and
presumably I would see two of the same item/colour?

I don’t think there’s a simple way
Whatever sort order you use, the duplicates should be next to each other… but
you still have to go through all the items.

Actually, when I went to look at all my lists (and scanned several of them item
by item), I eventually noticed that one list had a comment under it saying "Contains
duplicate item/color combinations". Easy to fix after finding that out!

Oh, great. It seems new (or no one noticed it before ). It’ll be useful.
