Hello good people

Is there a way to show only shops in the "Buy Wanted Lists" which accept IBAN?

Thank you for your help

I don't think so, but I may be wrong.

I would discourage you to buy using IBAN at least outside your Country while
having for now zero experience (0 FB) on BrickLink...

At the contrary, PayPal or Stripe will protect you - not 100% sure of course,
but IBAN will be a guaranteed 0% protection.

Just IMHO.

Hello Sylvain,

thank you very much for your answer.

I don't have Paypal or Stripe or anything like that. And I only want to
buy from sellers in my country.

I don't think so, but I may be wrong.

I think you're right So i have click the "auto-select" button and then
check the terms of every store in the store list, whether they offer payments
via IBAN or not. If not, I have to dislike the shop and run the "auto-select"
search again

This is really stupid. I wonder, if any of the bricklink programmers have checked
their 'baby' from the perspective of a buyer. I'm inclined to doubt
that, because bricklink really has a lot of design flaws

Anyway, thanks again and have a jolly good day

That's the point - you DON'T need either a PayPal or a Stripe account
to pay with them.
Simply input your Credit/Debit Card number for example.

I've never tried, but it's possible they accept also IBAN payment to
THEM which is far safer then directly to the seller, but it may imply a longer
delay - they're slower.

I'd recommand Credit Card.

No no - you're just beginning, don't conclude too fast

You don't need any account anywhere (apart BL of course).

I think that doesn’t work with PayPal Onsite (which is the main payment method
for new stores now).

Anyway, opening a PayPal account takes a few seconds and:
— with or without an account, they can track you and get the same info,
— without an account, you only have the Credit Card protection, with an account
you have the full PayPal proctection.

Good Shops (hum hum) have also a PayPal ("off site") alternative.

Didn't check that, but I guess you're right.

But in all cases, it's far safer for an 0 FB buyer than to send an IBAN directly
to the seller.

I mean, this is what I believe...

Old shops do.
I believe it’s as complicated for a new shop to get PP offsite than it is to
get IBAN.

And that was to point out to OP that there’s “PayPal (Onsite)” and “Paypal (Offsite).”

And that’s true.
It’s just that the “I don’t have an account” or “I don’t want an account” objections
are kinda feeble ones.

You need to have a compatible card though, and I don't know what cards in
Germany are like but ours for example are not. And it seems some of the failed
payments I've been getting in Stripe are because of some cards that are not
being accepted..

But yes, whenever it works with your card, Stripe's card method should be
very convenient and doesn't require any signing up.

They don't, and they don't really care. There are many things they could
easily do to increase revenue, but it's not in anyone's direct interest
so it doesn't happen. It could be worse though, at least what we have works.
Once you accept the fact that there isn't some kind of vision or plan behind
Bricklink it saves a lot of frustration
