yes, could be the hinge with finger. I checked surface of missing finger and
it is smooth as glass. If it is brocken, I would expect the surface is unbalanced.
Maybe it was a very good cut, I got this items in used condition.

If I am right it isn’t broken like you might think like a glass.
It is broken in the way it is not as it was from releasing out of the factory.
The finger is a part that fits in very sturdy and is very difficult to disassemble
but in fact it is a part that is factory off inserted.

In other words it is missing the hinge part that was originally in the square
hole
