| I recently switched my personal accounting from highly detail, meticulous, time
consuming spreadsheets over to Mint.com. And I'm aware I am not going to
be getting the detail I have always had, which is what made me wait so long,
but I've accepted that the time is just not there to continue the way I had.
Now that my personal accounting is caught up, I've been working on getting
my business accounting caught up for taxes and all. And peace of mind.
I have never bothered with 3P software on Bricklink and though some more inventory
tools would be handy I get by okay with what is there. So I've not paid
attention to what people say about API and such in the forum. I still don't
think I want to dive into advance inventory management, but if one of these programs
digs out all of my order information in a handy way like Mint where I can just
keep my totals and numbers up to date, I'd like someone to pitch it. I would
love to have the hour or more a week that I spend updating spreadsheets back.

BrickStore, nothing else!
Created in 2006 by a German developper - rewritten in 2021: FREE and OPEN source.

It's now 100 times better than it was.
To update to the latest build (recommended), use the very last one here:

| Please take a look at Brick Seller.
If you are not familiar with Brick Seller, you can find a link to it on the BrickLink
Inventory Software links here: https://www.bricklink.com/links.asp?catID=9

I watched some videos today to get a feel for what software I might want and
they all focus on things I didn't need. Then I stumbled across one that showed
how to export my orders. That's what I wanted and Bricklink does it itself.
But there is a problem. I have a Mac and they don't export as Numbers files.
I exported an excel file hoping numbers would pick it up, but all of the information
was in one cell when I opened in Numbers. The Tab-Delimited made a text file
I would have to laboriously copy and paste from. The html looks nice, but I
can't change it. I really don't know what I am doing here, but I want
to cut out the time that I spend doing this work.
Can someone speak specifically to one of the tools that will automate this for
me and let me have a spreadsheet that I can adapt to my needs from the bulk raw
data downloaded?

If you wish to use Excel or such to account orders sales / stats for example...
They can all read data from XML or use XML as a source of data.
It's NOT trivial however - at least on my (old) Excel.
Simply download the XML and try?

I got CSV to import and I'm looking at it now.
With Brickstore, would I be able to have it automatically format differently?
I like having the city. This comes out as "USA, Texas". I like to have the
user name AND real name, not one or the other. I want fields for some things
that I will fill out separately. The way I see it as it is, there will still
be some irritating copy and pasting every time I update to get everything where
I want it to be.

BrickStore is to manage collection/inventory/wanted-list Items.
It absolutely can't help you to make accounting/stats of your sales per Country,
whatever.
It just doesn't do this.
Simply download it, play with it, it's free and safe, no nags - we're
in 2022 it's here for 15 years, stop watching videos and try it

There are formulas in Excel, ya know?
Including "database search" and replace, etc.
Sincerely this can be done in Excel or such, any version.

If you found some software that doesn't run on MAC that might do what you
need you could try a virtual Windows Desktop.
