| New to the site, awesome, trying hard to find the Cylon raider Moc 12653. I
have checked all over and cannot seem to find an actual complete kit for sale.
There also seemed to be a price issue. Brickvault states the price somewhere
in the 350 range but when you look up the parts list it’s actually 900+. The
other Battlestar Galactica models are all within a 100 of the brick vault cost.
Not sure what to do. Some help with what I am doing would be awesome. Hope this
makes since.

The parts lists and price I looked at the was that high was on rebrickable.com.
Not sure where else to go to get the complete bricks. Thanks again.

Just been looking at the parts list for this Cylon Raider MOC in BrickStore and
some of the parts are quite rare, making them really expensive (see attached
pic for the highest priced & note prices are in GBP).
There are also a number of parts that are more moderately priced, but are needed
in large quantities e.g. 35 @ 53p each, 61 @ 19p each etc.
The 6 month average price for new parts is 601 GBP.
The 6 month average price for used parts is 372 GBP.
Had a look at the suggested sets on Rebrickable too, but that doesn't look
any better in terms of cost.
So it's a pricey one, with a bad combination of rare parts, price and quantities.
Unless you're willing to change colours or find alternate parts/builds for
the most expensive sections?
In fact, just noticed that in some of the pictures for the MOC, the 2 really
expensive parts...
are actually in Dark Bluish Gray, rather than Light Bluish Gray as the parts
list says. They are far cheaper in DBG
