| So I accidentally ordered bricks from two different sellers and they haven't
came yet but when they do, I don't know how to return them and get my money
back.

I would urge you to consider not trying to return your order. Most sellers here
are just people running a small business. Handling a return, with the loss of
time and profit, can be a big deal to some of us. Consider they will be out the
time it took to pull and pack your order, their shipping materials, and Paypal
fees. Add in the time to check and possible restock your return.
You could inquire of your sellers if they would allow it, but be kind and be
sure to cover the cost of postage both ways.

Your best bet is to use the "contact the seller" on your order and see if they
can hold the order. If they have already shipped the order then you need to
reach out and see if they accept returns. Most likely you will have to pay for
return shipping, but you will need to work that out with the seller.

After both answers I would like to add something too.
You need to go through at least 3 steps (I do not buy very often myself it could
be 1 less but most likely even 1 more).
You have to agree on all these steps to go further to pay.
Paying for these orders is an extra step.
Not only you did this once but a second time again, so you took a lot of steps
twice to accidentally buy some Lego.
The worst thing is when you DO decide to return the Lego. It would have been
a better idea to contact these sellers before they could have shipped the order.
When I read your post well it seems you just let this happen, never contacted
the sellers, just let them proceed on the order unaware of you not wanting these
orders. It is what I would call in very proper English… laissez-fare.

By "accidentally" I assume that they mean that they changed their mind after
ordering. It is four steps to place an order, and they then have to confirm payment
too. And then they would have received confirmation emails about the orders and
payments and could have contacted the sellers asking to cancel after receiving
those, before the orders were packed and shipping paid for by the seller.

I'm only asking so I can better understand the problem and maybe help the
developers figure out a speedbump.
1 - You went to their store.
2 - Manually adjusted how many parts you wanted to add to your cart.
3 - Proceeded to checkout.
4 - Agreed to continue.
...
I'm kind of new on the site as a seller so I'm trying to figure out what
- if anything - I can do to avoid accidental orders.

You can start with stop-listing this individual like most experienced sellers
reading this thread will do.......
As pointed out by others it takes at least 4 steps with individual confirmations
to place and pay for an order, so this is not an accidental doing! In best case
it is just an underage new user testing the system - in which case Admin should
be informed by the affected sellers.

Perhaps they ordered red brown when they meant dark red - but that's on them.

LOL, That's what the ellipse was for.
Like I said in another comment; maybe they ordered the wrong color or the
wrong stormtrooper (one where there are open eyeholes on the helmet versus ones
with painted out eyeholes) - but unless the store has a return policy for stuff
like that, that's on the OP.

If you accidentally bought the wrong thing in a store, that's not "on you"
- you will return it of course. Or if you buy something on Amazon and afterwards
you realise you don't need it, of course you will return it and not keep
it. AFAIK in the US you actually have the right to return things you bought online,
and consumer rights do apply on Bricklink - it says so explicitly in the seller
terms which the seller has agreed to.
It's easy to accidentally place an order. Bricklink is a complicated website
and much to take in for a new user. When I placed my first order I had no clear
idea at which store I actually placed it. With Bricklink remembering multiple
carts, it's definitely possible someone checked out the wrong one by mistake.
But in the OP's case it seems even more logical: They were shopping in a
second store and forgot they already bought some of the items in the first store,
so they accidentally bought them again. This happened to me many times when I
was a buyer here.

I have to disagree with you there. At the very least, when it comes to the paying
step, I find it hard to believe you log in to PayPal and accept to pay "by accident".
And that from two different stores.
But maybe it's the infamous "system error" many buyers claim as a reason
to cancel...
At the very least, you get a confirmation and should let the seller know immediately.

I think the implication here is accidentally buying the same thing(s) twice,
rather than accidentally placing an order.

Well, this has actually happened to me, so I don't find it hard to believe,
it's an actual memory I've also sent duplicate payments because I
was too busy with many different things. A new member may not always be aware
of which cart they are in or which items are in their cart. Note the OP didn't
even say they placed an entire order by mistake - it could be just some items
in the order that they bought twice (which I did many times). They also didn't
say that both orders were mistakes - so it's probably just about some duplicate
items.
