| Has the Bricklink policy to linking to other sites in a post changed? From what
I've heard from banned stores, It used to be that was a no no!!! I recently
came across post(s) linking to a website, instagram and twitter...not the first.
Can this now be done?

The only prohibited links are ones that lead to another site selling any kind
of LEGO brand products. Instagram and Twitter don't do that, so they're
fair game.

Links to offensive content are also forbidden.
The help page is there: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=126
and it contains the same thing as the ToS: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/terms_of_service.page

I thought all links are forbidden? Because BL understandably doesn't have
time to moderate the whole www. If some links are allowed, then it would still
be super easy to put some ads on that linked site or social media profile.

We’re talking about the forum, not stores.

So would a website link that when clicked would show a tab for the person's
Brinkling store and then another tab for the person's Brick Owl store be
allowed (actual case). Yes I am only talking about a Sales posting to the forum,
not on the seller's Store Splash page.

We could discuss a lot of variations on “what if I did this just slightly different
thing” till the end of time but, in the end, the rules are what they are and
Forum Discussion Moderators decide on a case by case basis.
We’re all here to enjoy a hobby and/or to friendly do business, so we, moderators
(and I believe I can talk for all of us on this), are trusting posts are made
in a good spirit and there’s just a few mistakes that need to be corrected.
Sometime we see them, sometimes we don’t and we hope members will report those
we miss.
So, if you know of a case we missed, please report it.

Why would you need to send bricklink buyers away from bricklink just to get them
to your bricklink store? If posting a bricklink sale post on the bricklink forum,
just put a link straight to your bricklink store.
