Hi,

To whomever can help,

I want to order a wishlist of relatively common parts however there is no store
with the amount of lots I need, the most is 171/172 however that is approx £800,
the next store is £99 but only contains 164/172, how can I get all the pieces
I need?

Thanks!

You’ll need to buy from more than one seller.
That’ll obviously cost more in shipping but, as you’ve noted, some stores make
you pay dearly for offering variety, so it’ll generally more than even out.

To do that, use the Buy page ( https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page
).
Here’s its help page: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2445

In short:
— open your WL, click Buy All,
— you can either select stores one by one yourself:
  — when a store is “selected,” the parts that are “bought” from it are removed
from the search and the list of stores is re-calculated,
— or use Auto-select: il will try and find a cheap solution to fulfill
your WL (not necessarily the cheapest but “close enough” if you value your time).

Check that all the lots are “bought” with the Wanted Items tab ((2) on
the firt pic in the help).  Sometimes, Auto-select selects stores that have “bulk
lots”: lots that you have to buy in bulk quantities (multiples of 10, 50…), and
that distorts the overall total (which can then go above 100%!).

Also check the stores’ terms, there might be surprises (fees or shipping costs
that are not taken into account by Auto-select).

Happy BrickLinking on this very new year

Auto-select is the way
you'll surely find that 3-4 shipments will cost less than 800
just check that the selected store DOES NOT HAVE LOT LIMIT
