LEGO.com official inventory data. Color “Purple” was retired in 2003, and thus, wasn’t used outside of “floor-cleaning” sets, which this was not.

I have the following sets (used) myself:

bought years ago just for the 2x2 and 2x4 bricks in Purple.
They turned out to be Light Purple
