ANyone had any experience of buying from overseas from UK - either Europe or
other. 3x3 turrets are non-existent here and having found a seller in Norway
with a number I chanced it and a month later still waiting. Happy that the seller
was genuine and posted in good faith.

Weve had multiple purchases from abroad and we have noticed many problems that
can effect the delivery.

We had 1 parcel that needed customs to be paid, while we expected that we had
no corospondence from the delivery company UPS... so they had held our item,
it was eventually released then they sent a debt recovery agency to collect the
duty import fees. Couldnt believe it. Other orders have generally been held up
because of shipping or held up in ports.

We seen us wait for 6 weeks for items but then again, ive ordered from china
and seen a delivery in 4 days. Always worth talking to the seller.

I have bought multiple times from overseas, in the EU and outside of it, most
have turned up within a week or two, have they provided a tracking number? the
only time I had a slight issue was one from Canada which seemed to get stuck
in customs and they chased it up and was delivered about a week later.

I've made several purchases from the EU and US recently; all went without
a hitch. VAT being calculated prior to ordering and IC have helped reduce concerns
about stupidly expensive shipping costs.

As for postal speeds, some orders had a delay delay compared to past orders,
others arrived before those from the UK, which were ordered at the same tiem.
The majority of my recent "slow postal problems" are seemingly down to the seller
not shipping quickly and not the postal service.

Good to hear it’s working at least in this way.
We only get horror stories on the forum so that balances things a bit

3 Swiss orders - no problems; 4 Canada orders - no problems No IC and no onsite
payment methods, works fine.
1 very unhappy USA customer who wanted some 'rarish items' and we could
not help - no onsite payment method (Our choice)

Switzerland is not in the EU, so not affected by EU country VAT collection. They
pay any taxes on import. Same for Canadian users, pay on import.

And the question is by a UK denizen who wants to buy from out-of-UK sellers,
not to sell….
