I heard a few weeks ago about shipping issues to Australia. Something like packages
being returned with no reason, and that the Express was the only stuff getting
thru. Anybody on here have any input on that, true/false, or anything?

Thanks,
Miles (C0lsanders_)

9/25 and 10/1, both packages recently arrived in Australia, neither delivered
yet.

I don't expect them back, just seems like long delays.

Important note I forgot to mention is that both of mine were through Pirate ship
simple export rate (aka Asendia).

2 Previous shipments to Australia delivered (Asendia as well):

order 8/31 delivered 10/1
order 8/24 delivered 9/20

https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm

*Australia’s service disruption affects Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), Commercial ePacket (CeP), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®) packets, International Priority Airmail® (IPA®) M-Bags, International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®) packets, International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®) M-Bags, and Airmail M-Bags

That is what USPS is displaying currently.

A few weeks ago NSW (an Australian state) was locked down because of covid. If
it was going through there it would have been held up a couple of days. I haven't
heard anything about returning packages though.

Kind regards,

Yes, I've had 3 USPS International First Class packages that were mailed
between September 4 and October 4 returned to me with a big pink label saying
"Mail Service Suspended." All of them arrived back between October 13 and 18.
Two were going to New Zealand and one to Australia. One made it through through
customs on September 15 but then sat in San Francisco for almost 4 weeks before
it was returned to me.

Two of my buyers opted to pay more for UPS Worldwide Express -- one has already
been delivered and one is well on its way -- and one buyer opted for the
cheap-but-possibly-unreliable service Asendia, which I found on Parcel Monkey.

I had a package that I shipped to Australia several weeks ago and was returned
due to the suspension of mail service from covid.

Currently, the only way to ship from the US to Australia is via USPS Priority
Mail Express International, FedEx, UPS, or DHL.

I ship my Simpsons to Australia on a regular basis. I use eBay's Global
Shipping and have had no problems. eBay does charge a lot for that service though.

Thanks each. Wasn't able to check these the last day or so. Info here agrees
with what else I know, so I guess it's Express. Buyer wants Express anyway,
so all may be fine.

Thanks,
Miles (C0lsanders_)
