| Hi BL Forums,
Is there a way to know which pieces come inside each numbered bag? If yes, how
can I look at it? It would ease a lot my part out process by allowing me to batch.
Thanks

Thanks Sadly there isnt. You can go into the PDF manual and make a list but that's about it. WHat I do Is I go On Studio Brick builder and I place down all the bricks in that bag and then I add it to my wanted list to get all the part numbers.

I would love this as a BrickLink feature. It wouldn’t need to be a requirement.
Stickered parts aren’t. Minifig inventories aren’t. But if someone chose to do
it, there it would be. It has commercial viability. Very often a car or partial
build is sold here that actual amounts to a numbered bag. And it would also take
the trouble of parting out a Ninjago dock right off the table. It wouldn’t require
any engineering. Just make them counterparts.

Also, 2 or 3 times I noticed that the packaging changed, 1 or 2 pieces that are
in the small bag in some sets in others of the same set partout where outside
in the big bag.

You mean allocating the counterpart field to denote the bag number? Wouldn't
that lead to ambiguity?
Also, there's a problem with the feature even if an extra bag field would
be added: Most lots are spread out over several bags. I think it would be quite
tricky in terms of data structure to make such a feature work. Technically every
part in an inventory would need a list of bag numbers and a corresponding list
of quantities.

I guess Axaday was thinking about making “assemblies” for bags as there’s for
some minibuilds, like
from
I don’t think Extra parts would be included.

Aah I see, I didn't really know about that feature, since it looks like it's
completely hidden when parting out (makes sense, otherwise it would become pretty
messy)

So would these be called unassembled assemblies?
I can see it might be useful for someone parting out a set a bag at a time, so
might be useful for very large sets. But even then it could well be messy unless
there was an option to part out bags (for example) 3,4 and 5 at the same time
if they contain a lot of the same parts. Otherwise there would be a lot of duplication
of work when parts get repeated across bags.

I feel like they could be called "Numbered Bags"...
