| I'm new to Bricklink. I wanted to buy some sets but every store I'm interested
in doesn't give me a quote, in their terms, it says 'must have positive
and non-zero feedback'. How do I get feedback if I haven't done anything
on the site yet?
Thanks for helping

You need to purchase items from a store which allows users with zero feedback
to purchase. This can be a few parts or a small item or minifigure, it's
your call.

How many stores have you looked at? It seems surprising that every one of them
refuses to let new users buy.
Do other stores have the items you want? If so, buy from them.
You can also least favourite the stores that don't want to sell to you. In
the store, click favorite stores at the top and choose bookmark, then dislike.
To get a quote you have to go all the way to the last step but one of the checkout.
Although you don't know if a seller gives quotes until you get there. You
can also look for sellers with instant checkout, the little lightning symbol.
You often get told the total price up front, although for international it might
not give you the full price depending on the size / price of items and whether
the seller has set checkout up for that type of order.

When you're on the store's page, click on "Favorite Stores" at the top
of the page (on the right), and select "Bookmark this Store". Then choose "Dislike",
and in the comments something like "does not sell to new users". Then the store
will be excluded by default from Wanted List searches at least.

You can divide the stores between those who offer Instant Checkout and those
who do not.
The stores who offer IC, should allow you to place the item into a shopping cart,
and see the total due (without the manual process of a quote request). Merely
limit you visibility to those who offer IC (the little lightning bolt) next to
the listing.
The stores who are on manual invoice, and likely requiring positive FB, because
they are trying to avoid new buyers who cause Non-Paying Buyer situations. There
are some buyers that think placing an order is like a Wish List, and they do
not have the ability to complete payment. Implementing IC filters out those buyers.

Please stop saying to buyers that they should only use IC stores merely for the
sake of seeing the shipping cost.
I don't have IC, but almost every buyer with almost any order can see what
the total cost will be. Although BL does not show that very well.
On the other hand, I see IC stores that only offer IC for a very small range
of orders and that isn't helpful either.
So IC isn't a holy grale that will fix every kind of issue with orders, buyers
and/or sellers.
And why is a buyer with zero feedback not welcome in some stores? Does it really
say anything when that buyer has 1 positive?
I really don't get those sellers at all.
But that's just my view of things.
