I still think its important to talk about sellers on the forums who are subpar
and choose to create more issues. especially when they are horribly treating
customers and telling them to kill the selves

Not taking sides, just thought the string was getting unpleasant and needed to
be stopped here.

I didn’t request it, just agreed with the moderators action.

I understand anyone’s need to bring this type of issue to the forum, hope it
gets resolved but I fear not.

I think it is called critical thread locking.

I know that the Admins can do what ever they want to do. But to lock the thread
and cancel all replies was uncalled for. There were no threats, no name calling,
no wrong information. A lot of members felt strongly about what was being discussed.
There should be a valid reason for cancelling a thread. Now, let's lock
the thread because some feelings were hurt.

This is a good reason to lock a thread.

Just thought it was heading the wrong way, only my opinion.

Haven’t checked since I posted original message, didn’t expect anything to be
removed.

Only expected it to be locked and left.

I didn’t request locking or removal.

I can see your point. I am glad it was finally locked, not sure if it would've
stopped otherwise. But I do agree that perhaps all of that shouldn't have
been cancelled. Amidst all the anger and fighting, there was some good discussion.

Yea, 'single issue thinking' on Admin's part in canceling the thread.

Not at all.
I don't have time to re-read 78 posts and manually cancel each except a few
posts.

There was no shirking of duty on the part of Brickwilbo. We don't require
that Moderators use a surgeon's precision when cutting out the troubled part
of a conversation. Often they will extend the courtesy of saving part of a post
by reposting with certain content deleted, but they are not obligated to do this,
or to selectively preserve certain posts in a problem thread.

By the way, I read the thread too (admins can see canceled posts) and there was
nothing in there worth saving. Yesterday I deleted the image from the opening
post. It would have been better if I had just canceled the whole thread at that
point.

I mean I have no problem that the thread was deleted, it was getting out of hand
quickly. however my account is still blocked from purchasing? This is my only
account. If i was banned because of the issues in the thread I dont see how that
is ok.

Your privileges were not revoked because of anything you said in the Forum. It
is an account issue, and it will need to be worked out with the Help Desk.

I was not aware that you could cancel a topic and all it's replies all in
one go; thought you had to do each one manually. Guess the forums aren't
as antiquated as I thought.

I now understand why you killed everything. Probably for the best.

It was probably correctly canceled, but why let go on? A lot of people got interested
and then it is gone.
I guess I grew up believing in free speech anywhere, as long as it is not overly
abusive and it is tempered. I saw nothing that needed to be tempered by Admin.

Just because you can do something does not mean you should do something. I felt
sorry for the original poster, they got far more than they bargained for. The
forum has always been a way to let others know about problem buyers and sellers.
It would be interesting to note how many members put stores on their least favorite
after all this came to light. It might have been very productive, or it may
not have been useful at all.
We all need out windmills with which to joust. (Hope Churchill knows what I learned
from him.)
