I have a Boba Fett figure where the yellow stripes on the helmet are on the right
side of the helmet instead of the left as shown in the BrickLink catalog (the
part entry as well as all the minifigures that use this part show the stripes
on the left side). All the rest of the printing looks the same to me and it's
definitely a lego piece (it's stamped inside)


I am wondering if this is a misprinted part or if there is variation on the printing
of this part. Anyone have any insight?

That's a misprint, a variation might be the width or length of the stripes
but not moving them to the other side.
