I'm trying to put together an order for the parts for one of the Kohliiheadz
designed by Swert, and I'm going off of the parts catalogue at the back of
the manual which has been extremely helpful. However, searching up each item
individually and adding them to this Kohliiheadz wanted list is incredibly tedious.
While trying to find a faster option, I went to the list itself and found the
"add item" option, which seems like it would be the no-brainer fast option, but
instead of letting you select an item type and then search, it forces you to
select a category first, and then only search within that category.

That's all well and good if you're just going off of the appearance of
the part and trying to find it manually, but I already know all the part numbers
and just want to search by those without having to find what category they've
been put in. In theory the part out option would be ideal for this, but it's
not actually an official set, so I can't really use that.

I'm new, so if I'm just missing a really obvious alternative here please
tell me, but otherwise this seems like a frustratingly simple fix that would
majorly streamline targeted purchase for a custom set.

Isn't it possible to part out the set into a Wantlist?

As I already explained, this isn't an official set, so I can't use the
part out option because I can't select that set from the list

If you already have the IDs, maybe you can transform the list into a Wanted List
and upload it: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=207

(BrickStore or Rebrickable may help you converting.)

There is already a way. Ask the seller if they have an xml parts list.
