| I went to my local flea market this week end and there is a new Lego knockoff
store now. Beautiful Mini figures mostly. After 10 minutes of my 5 kids shopping
and gathering $20 worth of stuff I noticed no "Lego" on anything or anywhere
in the store. Kind of made me mad so I asked the woman behind the counter about
it and was told they were not allowed by owner to mention the "L word" and they
had several stores and got most of the figures from China. The first 10 minutes
I was there she made no attempt to correct anyone that said Lego. She saw I was
upset and said "Mister I'm just trying to work and support my two kids".
I can't argue with that but am still mad after two days.

Came across a store like that in the mall a couple years ago. It's total
intellectual property theft. It was kind of shocking to see it done so blatantly.

| They are absolutely everywhere here too, street market stalls, numerous sellers
at carboot sales and more.
You need to check every minifigure that you find, in detail.

So I'm curious, which Florida city was this flea market located in ?
There is a large flea market at Webster. Adjacent to it are many importers who
have all kinds of stuff from CN. I have not been there in years, but I can't
imagine it got any smaller than it used to be.

| There is a local discount store (the sort that sells cheap crap) that has tables
of the bootleg minifigs (covering all kinds of copyrighted IPs and from known
Chinese bootleggers LEBQ and ZT) out the front openly selling them. It disgusts
me that such a store is allowed to get away with openly violating copyright and
that no-one does anything about it (I even reported it to LEGO Customer Service
in case they cared but its just not worth pursuing enforcement action against
a small discount store/chain of discount stores here in Australia)
I for one have done my part by refusing to even walk into that store, let alone
give them any of my money.
People who knowingly profit from copyright violation (as in this case) disgust
me.
