So here is my question or complaint. Depends on how u look at it. After something
gets marked as Delivered, the seller gets a green dot (I forget what is called)
by our "My Store" heading and doesn't go away unless we leave feed back for
the buyer. WHY ISNT THIS A THING FOR THE BUYER??? Can we please add it? I'm
thinking of starting to leave a Neutral feed back do to the lack of it on buyers
part. They don't wanna leave feed back. They don't even wanna mark it
as received... How lazy are you? It isn't that hard to mark it received nor
is it hard to type "Thanks" for feed back. SMH

It's their choice to mark as complete or leave you a feedback, you can't
do anything about it or force them to do as you see fit. Accept it and carry
on...

Leaving a neutral FB for something so insinificant is a dumb idea IHO.

Notification?

by our "My Store" heading and doesn't go away unless we leave feed back for
the buyer. WHY ISNT THIS A THING FOR THE BUYER???

It’s already there.
And, like for sellers, it can be removed through the settings.
Anyway, it still can be ignored.  Especially for buyers who don’t log everyday
like sellers need to.

Can we please add it? I'm
thinking of starting to leave a Neutral feed back do to the lack of it on buyers

Wow! Great way to get return customers… or even first time customers.

Maybe I should leave a negative to all the sellers that don’t give me a feedback
first.  After all, I would be judgeing the complete experience: “Great parts,
great prices, fast service, nicely packed, but they didn’t leave me feedback!
The whole buying experience is ruined!  Here’s a neg, ner!”

Easily the dumbest thing I have ever read on the forum.

A notification

by our "My Store" heading and doesn't go away unless we leave feed back for
the buyer. WHY ISNT THIS A THING FOR THE BUYER???

It is a thing for the buyer. When the seller marks the order as shipped,
the buyer will see a green dot next to the "My BL" tab at the top of the page
and when they hover their cursor over it, it will say something like "X orders
shipped, change status". There is also a reminder to mark the order as received/completed
at the bottom of the orders placed page.

Can we please add it? I'm
thinking of starting to leave a Neutral feed back do to the lack of it on buyers

I don't think it's a matter of laziness so much as it is a matter of
habit. On most other ecommerce websites, customers don't need to do anything
after they place the order. Some sites allow buyers to leave feedback, but even
then, it is at their own initiative. Leaving neutral feedback for failing to
mark an order as completed or leave feedback seems overly harsh in my opinion.

On the bright side, about half of my buyers do mark their order as completed
and leave feedback, so depending upon how you choose to look at it, the glass
is either half empty or half full.

Sometimes it takes a while for someone to leave feedback and sometimes they might
not leave feedback at all. There is at least one seller that has not given me
feedback for completed orders but there could be any number of reasons for it
and it is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

Also, I have to agree with some of the other posts in that it seems awfully petty
to leave neutral feedback simply because they did not leave you any feedback.
Not only do you risk losing customers, you risk tit for tat as well.

It _is_ a thing for the buyer - they get the same reminder. Anyway, if you leave
neutral feedback for buyers don't be surprised if they retaliate.

I suspect all those neutrals would result in negatives for the seller.

You received 199 feedbacks for 337 orders, a "response rate" of 59%. That's
above average. Why do you care so much?

Not sure if you're trolling or serious, but this is a horrible idea. No one
is obligated to leave feedback or mark orders as received. Be happy the buyer
chose your shop from the thousands of other shops on BL and that there were no
issues with the order.

Not leaving feedback is one way to provide feedback.

I explained to the seller that they had botched almost every aspect of the transaction,
but they just wanted to argue with me. Rather than provoking a response by leaving
negative feedback, I just walked away. (So to speak.)

I don't think the buyer does it on purpose, it seems like a force of habit.
For example when ordering off most online websites the process is designed for
customer ease of use. How often do we leave feedback on Amazon etc?
I received an order last week, the buyer marked it as complete but didn't
leave feedback, even though it says in my terms and conditions that I'll
send a coupon to any buyers who leave positive feedback. He then ordered again
from me this week. If he'd left feedback he would of saved a fair amount
of money, makes me think that it's just something that people forget rather
than purposely doing it.

Seems way too far in my opinion. Although it's reassuring to have an order
marked as received/completed so you know it hasn't been lost in the post,
feedback isn't all too important in my opinion. I don't think most buyers
are too fussed about whether a store has 100 feedback or 10000 as long as the
feedback that the store does have is overwhelmingly positive.

Just my thoughts and opinions.
Stan.

As a new seller feedback is basically the cornerstone of my very existence on
this site... I'm surprised I get orders, and I can't attribute that solely
to my current 100% feedback rate, mostly a few kind souls.

Giving feedback is like giving your waiter or bartender a tip - you don't
need to, but it's pretty good if you do and it's common sense for some
people.

The majority of people give feedback, but some don't. It doesn't matter.
And it certainly shouldn't mean you give people neutral or negative feedback
because you weren't given the feedback you feel you deserve. That doesn't
help you, and it certainly doesn't help others.

+10

The OP is acting just a little bit spoiled IMO. Be thankful for the feedback
you got, and move on. 58% of my customers have left feedback, which is a pretty
good percentage. On brickowl, my percentage is only 21%. But I'm thankful
for every one I've got and don't worry about the others.

Feedback isn't necessary for the transaction, it's a bonus. If the buyer
wasn't difficult and you got your money for the order just fine, then it's
foolish to leave a neutral just because they didn't leave a feedback. If
you do that, you're definitely going to see your feedback rating go down,
along with your orders.

Though I understand your frustration (I think most can) it's simply
one of a few nagging realities, found not just here but elsewhere too.
That is low feedback and order status participation from buyers... A good deal
of folks just want their Lego, I suppose

That said, a good percentage of sellers are guilty of the same behavior. Which
brings to mind something another member posted: and I'm paraphrasing
~ we're here for Lego not feedback.

As a fellow seller, my advise is to forget feedback. Continue to do your best
for your buyer but without the expectation of outward facing approval. You’ll
be happier doing so.

Btw, never consider the feedback system a bludgeon is another good guideline.
