| Hi,
Are the Sales tax from BL/Paypal fees being charged separately?
Can someone please enlighten me on the additional fees we are seeing on Bricklink/Paypal
payment page,
We are noticing Paypal charges the Sales tax as a Partner Fee and an additional
Fee on the Order about 5% of order (which I am not seeing on the Bricklink account
fees page).
Also I noticed the Charges include Bricklink's Sales tax, is the Sales tax
getting charged twice? if so, do we need to make changes at the store front end
to fix this?
Also is there a difference in the fees when using Paypal vs Stripe?
Thanks for any help!

| You, as the seller, pay the paypal fees for the sales tax.

| No, here’s the breakdown:
The Paypal order page shows the amount of sales tax included in the total order
amount.
It also shows the normal Paypal fee on the transaction and the “Partner Fees”
which are always equal to the Sales Tax amount BrickLink collects on qualifying
orders. Both fees are deducted from the amount of money you received in your
PayPal account for this order.
However the Sales Tax isn’t deducted twice.

But Dino1 is correct that the PayPal fee on the Partner Fee/Sales tax
is paid by the seller. For example, if you sell $100 worth of Lego, and the sales
tax is 5% of that, your Partner Fee is $5.00 and your PayPal fee (assuming a
domestic transaction of $0.30 + 2.9%) is $3.35 ($0.30 + 0.029*$105.00), not $3.20
($0.30 + 0.029*$100.00).

| You're right, I thought they were conflating PayPal fees and Sales tax. Yes,
the PayPal fee is calculated on the whole transaction amount.
