what it means?
a) b) moulds?
two different IDs?
two but merged into one?

It means what’s written in the additional notes just below the pictures:
“This part has at least two variants with differing angles and surface textures.”
So, variants that are share the same entry/ID in the BL catalogue (for now?).

Sure, you just open the part’s page and it’s there (1).
(To see the comparison picture, choose “All colors” in selector 2.)

What’s the URL?

I don’t believe there’s any setting to hide the notes (they can be “Collapsed”
or “Expanded” but they are still visible).
What’s your browser? Are you using some extension?

| You make me think that yes, I have adblocker
I disabled the adblocker and voilà, it showed.
Don't know why it is "perceived" as an advertismet, probably similar HTML
as annoying ads it knows to kill.

You should be able to whitelist bricklink.com, that way you won't worry about
sections of the site not functioning normally.
