| After the recent BrickLink major site update related to VAT on May 18th, the
badge indicating there has been new forum messages since the last visit to https://www.bricklink.com/messageList.asp
is displaying constantly, even if there are no new forum messages since the last
visit.
The badge appears at the top right of the top menu "Community" card and on the
right of the Forum sub-menu tab "Messages". It used to be hidden after a visit
to the main page of the forum. I assume the date/time of the visit is recorded
for each user, and then on subsequent pages it is compared with the last forum
message date/time to decide whether to show this badge or not.
Now that it shows all the time no matter what, I constantly want to check the
forum, because I've been used for this badge to mean that there are new messages
for me to check. However over the last couple of days I've regularly been
disappointed because a new forum message wasn't the reason the badge appeared.
