So, today I was looking through my bricks from 80s, and I spotted that one part
was looking like it was made out of cellulose acetate. It was the brick 4732.
The part is CA red, it bends easily and it had the weird CA "glossiness", and
also when dropped it sounded like a CA brick. So, do you think it could be CA?

Part No: 4732 Name: Bracket 8 x 2 x 1 1/3

Yours doesn’t look CA and this part is way too recent to be CA anyway.
Maybe it lacks a bit of pigment and that makes it appear a bit different but
that’s not CA.

It bends easily? Perhaps too much plasticizer had been used in the mixture and
it got through QC. That could have also the effect of looking like CA.

Yes, it does bend easily. It feels weak, like CA.

I have a couple of CA pieces and they don't bend easily at all. If anything
they are less flexible than ABS - and more brittle
