| Hello contest fans.
I'll be your moderator again.
Popsicle (Cory) has given me the three answers and once someone gets all three
correct in a single post, I'll let you know.
If it starts taking some time for a correct guess, I may start giving clues in
a new post.
Good Luck!

I realize that my first answer makes no sense since (3) is the time from seed
to plant, not germination to plant. So (3) should be strictly greater
than (2).

| I think the problem here is that you've got to get three correct answers
all at once,
The first is now all too obvious but it's a complete guess on the other two.
I've made a couple of guesses myself.

I let germinate the seed of something I’ve enjoyed my entire life without ever
having considered it’s seed. Thanks to this year’s slow-to-start spring here
in Washington, I’ve taken to growing a few things indoors, including this
guy…
The contest is a three-part question: 1) The plant’s latin name? 2) Time in days,
it took to successfully germinate the seed before placing into soil? 3) The number
of days it took to grow into what you currently see, using only the weak ambient
(window) sunlight we have at this latitude? No grow-light use so far.
That’s three bits of information to enter with each posted entry.
Contest rules are simple:
~ One post per day per member, otherwise no limit to the number of entry-days.
~ Entry must be made as a reply to this contest post.
~ All three questions must be made in a single post.
~ First to correctly answer to all three questions in a single post, wins!
We’ll cover the shipping cost domestically (free shipping) All members are welcome
to participate though, if you can offer a US shipping address should you win.
For non US based members, any address within the US will do: a friend, family
member or fellow BL member is fine.
The contest moderator will be the all powerful, all knowing and all around good
guy known as Johan (jbroman) of Big Boy’s Bricks
I’ll soon send Johan the winning answers, he’ll determine and announce the winner.
Please direct any questions Johan's way, our contest moderator: https://www.bricklink.com/feedback.asp?u=jbroman
Not all seeds germinate. If interested in how I aided this seed to do so,
feel free to contact me via pm, after the contest has concluded
Have fun!

Don’t exaggerate, you’re not that far up North: the state of Washington is at
about the same latitudes as Metropolitan France (resp. 45°-49°N and 42°-51°N).

That's your contribution to something positive and as innocuous as this?
Only phrased it so, as we're more used growing plants in the stronger, longer
sunlight hours offered by the lower latitudes of Southern Utah and Southern California,
our homes before moving here. There will of course be those (normal thinking
folks, anyway) that feel the latitude is high and those that don't, depending
on where one finds themselves when trying to grow plants I suppose. In others
words, the latitude I expressed is relative to each individual reading this.
Poor manners as usual, though. The bitterness you often display towards some
here, I don't know... My sincere advise would be to build more of a life
beyond this gig as moderator, it doesn't suit you that well. But then again
it would hardly suit me either, and I'd miss your surly ways

Forgot to mention: we planted another around the time of the contest. Maybe cross
pollination someday, who knows?
Apparently avocado tress have an unusual system of flowering to prevent self-pollination.
Depending on the cultivar, something like switching from all female flowers with
a stigma to closing and reopening the next day with all male flowers with pollen.
Reversed with different timing in other cultivars. Fascinating wondrous world!
