I'd love to get feedback on my splash page from buyers at Bricklink. I'd
like to understand a little bit of what's going through your mind if I made
the splash page the default tab when a buyer comes to my store.

The first 10 users to let me know their thoughts in this thread will receive
a 10% off coupon to my store.

Primarily, I'm looking for feedback on if the splash page makes you want
to stay on my store and shop or if it's annoying and you want to leave and
go to another store right away.

It doesn't really make me want to go away, but it doesn't really make
me want to stay either. Personally I find it kind of disorienting.

Your splash page is snazzy but a little overwhelming because of the massive image.
Also there is a “Play” button that suggests a video will play when pressed, but
nothing happened on mobile for me.

I would suggest you to keep the same text but remove the background image entirely
and the column layout.

I now have checked it out on desktop and I personally don't like the autoplaying
impossible-to-pause full-screen video. I don't mind the video itself but
I would prefer if it started out smaller and not playing right away. Since you
have two columns already, you could embed it on the right column without it taking
the whole space including behind text.

As a general rule, autoplaying multimedia content strips control from visitors
and can inconvenience people with specific disabilities like motion sickness
or epilepsy.

Scrolling images like your background tend to make me nauseous. Particularly
if they are not perfectly steady.

I find I do plenty of business in my shop without having a Splash page.

"Currently only shipping to 🇺🇸" should be "Currently only shipping to US"

It looks really good IMO. On Desktop you see a walkthrough of his store.

I like that it is simple and gives a few quick important points for new buyers.

Only thing I would change is to capitalize us to US or, USA would be better.

Do you not see the emoji's in the text? The only place "us" would show is
where I have the US flag emoji.

Since I don't ship to Canada at the moment I'm not sure if giving you

No need for a coupon, I watch your Youtube channel and Pop's as well. Great
stuff. Helpfull tips form the channels are all the coupon I need lol.

I do see. The truck, swoosh, recycle symbol, and box next to standard shipping
all show up.

Thanks for the heads up to Ralph's YouTube channel.

Ralph, just watched your Pick a Brick cup ROI vid. I'll leave aside my views
on calling gross revenue and ROI can I ask would you list those parts poured
from the cup as new or used?

Oh and I liked the splash vid btw. Might want to turn a little slower for the
seasick out there, but certainly more interesting than a lot of splash pages.
The OCD in me loves the drawer walls.

I just see the lower case "us" as well instead of "US". Maybe lessen the width
of the black transparent section and lower the font size a tad so the walkthrough
is not covered as much.

Looks ok to me, no dizziness or nausea. It might not be for everyone, but they
can easily click away from it.

I think its pretty cool, I've never seen anything like that on another shops
Splash... Not sure why it would turn anyone away from your shop, I certainly
wouldn't shy away because of it.

Looks good to me. Video plays smoothly on my android phone and doesn't disorient
me. I guess the video is more of a personal opinion. Just a few small tweaks
I'd make:

I'd change "Lots are bagged together to minimize the number of bags needed."
to "Lots are bagged together to minimize waste." or something like that. the
point is the environmentally friendly part. Bagged together already implies you
are going to use less bags.

Not sure why but I'd move the * on free shipping to after the 'on order
over $35' and might just eliminate the asterisks in general and put that
it's only for the environmentally friendly option right there.

You might want to clarify if your shipping rates start at those price points
or if that is a blanket cost on all orders no matter how big they are.

And last thing is I like your shipping options idea but the smallest number of
bags for an order is always 1. If I buy 100 lots in your store my preference
would be to have them bagged somewhere between all in 1 bag and in 100 bags.
At least in my store I group a few lots together in each bag depending on how
many of each lot was ordered. I would assume you aren't putting them all
in 1 bag but you may want to clarify that or add it as an option.

Like I said just minor tweaks I'd suggest but it looks great regardless so
no need to change anything if you don't want.

No coupon needed, but I watch your youtube channel and wanted to give feedback
for things I've learned from you.

1) Video is nauseating. I physically could not watch it. It is too large on my
screen (I'm on a desktop) The only way I could stop it was block the youtube
frame.

2) I use uMatrix and I had to allow a few domains to get anything to show up,
privacy focused people may not be able to see it, unless they do the same.

3) Some of the verbiage used could be wordsmithed a bit, no specific suggestions,
just seems a bit clumsy.

Keep on rocking it on you tube, I love the new series with Derek.

My experience on desktop:
At first, it is disorienting and also makes me wonder if I miss something important
in the video when I'm reading the text. (I didn't know you could place
a video, so also that surprised me.) So I was looking what the video was about,
when I saw it is just is a video of inventory, I only started to read. I didn't
made me leave, but it wouldn't have made me want to buy.
Another thing, also mentioned above, is the us instead of an emoji (if you look
good, you see it has a slightly different layout and thus should be an emoji
rather than a spelling error).
