hi,
I would like to know how to reduce the number of a certain part from an order.
the order has not been paid, is in pending status, but i discovered I was short
on the number i had n stock, i messaged the buyer and they still want the one
I have. how can I change the number of this part on the order before I invoice
them. when I choose problem order, I only see an option to cancel the order.
thank you

That will work, but it will also put the part back into your stock, and it will
need the buyer to "agree" to the request.

Another work around, if it isn't an expensive part (less fees), is to put
the cost of the missing parts as a credit on the order.

I guess I really messed this up now,
I did the brick link way and requested the parts be removed from the order, my
first time doing this, so I dont know how long it takes to reflect any changes..
then nothing showed as changed so i did it the second way, with a credit to offset
the missing parts, , I invocied, they paid, I printed the shipping lable, changed
the order to shipped, and now the bricking adjustment kicked in and the order
doesnt show paid or shipped, I dont have any option to mark it so.

any ideas how to fix this one?

thanks

In the future, it takes exactly as long as a buyer receiving the message, navigating
to their My BL or Orders page, and clicking that they agree with the change.
Keep in mind that the message to the buyer no longer includes a link or any information
about how to do this! (Thanks BL for that!)

Your responsibility to your buyer is to mail the package. You do not technically
need to do anything with the order status. I imagine with how broken the order
status is with the implementation of XP, sales tax, refunds, etc. that many of
us have some completed orders in the wrong status.

Try this:
1. Click on the edit order button for the order in question. (first picture,
from order received page)
2. Remove credit
3. Change payment status to paid
4. Click "Submit Changes"
5. Change order status to shipped
6. Click "Submit Changes"

Hope that works for you
